Yeah agree... Trell "injured" so wasn't considered (didn't he play on the weekend?), Graham presumably injured, Crichton presumably playing for Samoa.

Answers this question
  • Latrell has an injury which wouldn't have held up to 6 weeks extra training PM13 and 4 internationals but club gave him permission to cameo at the Knockout (which had not training requirements). That's probably fair enough.
  • He also has a court date on same date as Pacific Cup final for his wrastlin with Wighton 8 months ago. Can also see how that'd be distracting and problematic.

Also, if he wants to play Koori knock out and not for Aus, that's all the justification he needs. Ridiculous that he's had to say anything.

If he wants to do that, sure. No indication he doesn’t want to play for Aus though

Agree. Maybe playing for Australia isn't everyones' number one ambition.

No there's not, but that's not the point. The point is he shouldn't have to justify why he isn't playing.
Imagine the Australia staff disagree if he says he’s not available due to injury then pops up playing something else, but if you feel so strongly about it I’ll let you raise it with them.

Also probably plenty of fans (who are why he gets paid) probably want to know too.
The fact you don’t care or don’t want to know appears pretty inconsequential

Jesus mate.

Asking why isn't Trell playing, and suggesting he's snubbed his country are two very different things.

It's fine to ask about his availability, he shouldn't have to justify his position due to rumours and criticism though.

Jesus mate.

Who said he snubbed his country?

A few different interviews just explained what his situation was. You don’t have to stand up for Trell because some people wondered why he wasn’t in Australian team and he answered. An NRL player explaining their injury circumstances to media isn’t anyone being attacked.

There has been a heap of media insinuating that he's done something wrong by playing one and not the other.

I'm just saying that's wrong. Googled Latrell Koori Knockout and the top story was about his kangaroo snub.

Wouldn’t hurt to provide your context first next time as my post on the topic wasn’t critical of him

Even then this (attached) is where your first screenshot article appears to go - doesn’t seem too bad once you’re past the clickbait.
You’ll always find some stuff criticising anything Latrell does to some extent - some more deserving than others

Why does Albanese feel the need to get involved here??

I didn't say you were critical. I was only saying trell shouldn't need to justify his reasons due to media rumours.

Agree on the bold.

The Wests Tigers, in partnership with Liverpool Council, have approached the NSW government with a proposal to build a 20,000-seat stadium in the heart of Liverpool CBD, with a view to making it the club’s permanent home.

Trai Fuller debuting for the Dolphins this week. Named as 18th man but will apparently play.

This is a great reward for Fuller. He’s been a standout in Q Cup for 5+ years. Was the best on ground imo in the comp they won when Toby got MotM.

He’s a fullback. Small, but a fantastic player.
Sounds like he's back in the side
