Penrith have earned the right to act however they want in victory. Personally I'd be a little more humble but each to their own. Only 1 way to shut em up.

The worst bit is probably there are a lot of shits who looks up to them and see them acting like arrogant shits
Those same kids wouldn’t act any better because they behave, nor is it the current NRL players job the parent them.

League in the (NSW) west seems to have a lot of issues and a bit more arrogance and bad winning from some kids won’t make a big difference, but it all adds up. Plenty of other bad (and worse) influences around on little ****.

In saying that what we see publicly is much better behaved than I’ve seen in any mad Monday I’ve ever been a part of

I don’t mind it tbh. They’re a basket case, why wouldn’t you point it out? He’s done them a favour signing with them. I’m sure he’ll play his ass off, but now it’s up to them to actually build a team around him, which they probably won’t do
It’s poor leadership from a bloke who is 30, could understand more if he was in his early 20’s. Sure, you could say he has done tigers a favour by signing with them but you could also say tigers have done him a favour by offering him so much money and financial security.

No one forced him to sign with Tigers (or maybe that was his wife’s punishment for his affair)

Being a bad winner is a terrible character trait, also these guys arent kids, they’re young men mostly in their mid 20, so the whole “they’re kids” defence doesnt wash with me, even though I think all this is way overblown.

Api and JFH comments were brain dead stupid but a combination of being wiped out and sleep deprived probably means you take them with a grain of salt. Unfortunately people have taken the comments a little too seriously.

Should they act a bit more gracious in victory? Probably, I definitely would (irrelevant I know but Im just saying). BUT, does all this deserve all the attention and uproars its getting? Definitely not. This has garnered way too much outrage. Too me this issue is a bit of a storm in a teacup.

No actual sanctions need to come out of this, just a quick ‘pull your heads in a bit fellas’ from club management and leave it there.

I hope everyone moves on ASAP.

Just an unnecessary comment, the way he laughed after it. Tigers are paying him 750k a season, you wouldn’t expect him to come out and openly disrespect them in such a way.

Then again, we know he’s not much of a leader or man with integrity. Just gotta look at his antics on origin duty

Fair enough.
Still, I'm with Tatus on this one.

From the GF, Matterson has chosen a 3 game suspension over a $4,000 fine for his crusher tackle

Someone can get ruled out of say two finals games and someone gets ruled out of a couple of trials for the same offence ?
Seems fair ;)
They only rule out bad players from finals games. They keep the good ones so the fans are happy.

That whole system is bizarre. Surely Matto discussed this with the club adn they're on the same page, it can't just be about saving $4k. Surely.

Yeah apparently wanted to make a point about the size of the fine. Parra supported him.
