Bit of a shame its going to be Origin affected... would have liked to see both teams full strength

Would of been a good test to actually see where we’re really at.

Exactly. We can measure ourselves against the clear comp favourites. I'll take cheap wins over Melbourne and NQL if we can get them.

I wouldn't say our win over Melbourne was cheap. We went without Hynes, Talakai and Rudolf.

Yeah Melbourne weren't great, but we did what a top 4 team should be able to do, we put away an under strength team convincingly. Again, without those players mentioned above too.

Yeah I agree, It didn't really turn out to be, and we were convincing on the day.

Just looking at the draw beforehand, it was definitely a plus to play them during origin.

They didn't have Munster, Grant, Welch, Kaufusi, Coates, RSmith, GJennings, Moeroa
We didn't have Hynes, Talakai, Rudolf and Williams

So I would say they are worse off, but they are the Melbourne Storm and still had Hughes, Papenhyuzen, Cheese, Broms, NAS which is more than enough to beat a lot of sides.

Cheese was clearly rattled things weren't going the way they were supposed to. Him playing for a penalty and pushing off the mark and expecting the ref to pay it to the point he called him a cheat for not doing so suggests they well and truly thought things would still go their way with the outs they have.

Whenever we play against them with lots of energy, aggressiveness and "in your face" attitude, we always come on top.

The pack has physically bashed Tits, Dogs and now Storm.

So long as they keep firing we are good.

And scored twice while they still had JBrom and NAS still on so it's not like we just overpowered their depth, we got off to a good start against a really good middle. I know they'd like to use NAS off the bench when they can but he's definitely an NRL starting quality prop

Guess we will wait and see Talakai's minutes.

Cows have rested Val and Nanai. Dearden and Gilbert named to back up at this stage.

I'm guessing McInnes will give Wadeo a rest at some stage.

Although, from his little dig at Fitz during the presser, Wadeo doesn't seem to appreciate his bench time.

Don’t give a **** what he appareciates. Bloke shouldn’t even be in the run on side.
