I'm not sure if we need Trindall on the bench as a backup anymore. Last week showed us what we can do if our fullback goes down.

If a half goes down between Brailey, Tracey and Graham I think we can make do for the rest of the game.

More important to have the extra forward on the bench.
If we needed him any week it was last week when we actually did lose a spine player early!

And we showed we can cope without... admittedly we haven't had Graham, McInnes and Tracey, who are our most versatile guys, all in the team until this week so it was also the first week we had broad ranging cover even with an all forward bench.

I think Metcalf will still have a few more dropped bombs in him compared to Kennedy, but I do have the same hopes, that once he's in the team he'll be impossible to leave out somewhere.
A few good showing and feeling he is fullback 2 and in consideration to do a like for like with Moylan after maybe one more year at most could make Sharks a bit more attractive to him again...

But in saying that it appears in NSW Cup Miller was preferred at least as backup fullback and is still contracted for next year so Metcalf might not be as confident if sees Miller as ahead of him.

Anywhere from 150 - 200 mm of rain forecasted to fall between now and Sunday... could be an interesting playing surface by then.
Annastacia the Weather Girl has been warning of a Noah's Ark event.

Still dry here in Brisbane on Tuesday afternoon.

Sick of losing to this mob. Hope we can finally jag a win against them.

I was thinking that someone should go to the game wearing a t-shirt saying "I caught the Clap at Bruce Stadium".

I've been critical of Trindall this year but I'm looking forward to him having a full game to play his role.
Yeah it's not what my preference was but I am fine with it and keen to see him have a proper crack, albeit still in slightly odd circumstances as our true 7 is still in spine.

Might just not fit make up of reserves but no Ikuvalu may indicate he is injured. Good to see Miller back at least, obviously nothing major

Still a strong team with Will and Jesse out.

Not sure what style Nicho will play, could be like last Sunday where he defended at 1 but attacked at 7.

I'm fine with Trindall playing but I just hope he can still bring the same link to Moylan that Hynes has been doing if he does truly play at 7.

At least we have two recognised kickers now.

Raiders have a strong forward pack but even with our makeshift centres (yes, they are makeshift), I think we still look stronger in the backs.

Frawley and Schneider are extremely beige although Schneider has done well as cover for Fogarty.

Danger players for the Raiders are Papalii, Tapine (that fellow always does something good against us) and Rapana.

Unless its all smoke and mirrors and we see Hynes play 7, Metcalf play 1 in game day.

Same way as McInnes named at 14 again but will likely start lock with Finucane pushing to prop

It's not fair on him to get 10 minutes of rubbish time.

He will now get two full matches to see how he can go.

He is a popular team member and if he does consistently what we know he can I'll be happy for the investment when 6 or 7 goes down later.

I'll be more confident in goalkicking too.

Well this should be a fun forum ride!

I can't see a way out that doesn't have Trindall at 7 with Ramien out. I'd have liked to see Tracey at FB but he needs to cover centre.

I am ok with Trindall getting a full game. Pretty tough to only get 5-10 minutes here or there. Also happy with Metcalf or Miller being given a chance at the back. We really are spoilt for choice this year it seems. They are all good options
