For Fifita for me

I agree Tolman capacity too valuable and even more in a three forward bench and round 1 when many might not be 100% game fit

It would make sense.

As pointed out by someone else, without Wadeo and McInnes in the team we don't really have cover for hooker or the halves.

Worst case scenario, I guess you could shift Wilton or Talakai to centre, Mulitalo to fullback and Kennedy to 5/8. Kennedy could distribute the ball from dummy half too but you wouldn't want him defending at hooker.

I think if your hooker went down you would just distribute the load at hooker and not actually have a "hooker" on the field. If one outside back injury occurred we would manage fine with a reshuffle. It is if you have two or more injuries that aren't to forwards we would have problems.

I would be ok with a four forward bench if they want to take the gamble.

I'm ok with the 4 forwards on the bench, against Raiders. Horses for courses. Not averse to Metcalfe either but, after last yrs form.I never accepted he should be banished cause signed elsewhere.

I'm glad rapana is out. He is a dick but I rate him as a point scorer. he brings tough edge too.

Kind of player who we try give **** back to and they end up playing better as a result just to spite us
True. Made his send off all the sweeter though. Loved his lip then march off 😄

My first post this year as new job has taken most of my time and will miss watching tonight's game, my first in 8 seasons.

I like our line up but concerned with 4 forwards on bench. An injury in backline could require a major reshuffle.

Go boys, let's start off with a win.

This is my concern as well, who will slot into the halves role if one of those go down, let alone a backline player?

Talakai to centre solves that easily, from there you shuffle whoever you need where you need them. Ronnie can go to wing or fullback if needed.

It's halves and hooker where the question lies for me. And I don't love my best answer is keep your fittest forwards on and just get others to pick up the slack.

Think we would just play a half down. The last half standing takes full control and players like Brailey, Kennedy, Finucane just have to lift their passing/kicking roles when needed. Wilton to defend as a half and Talakai to back row.

A hooker down will probably hurt more because we will miss our good service from dummy half, and Finucane’s ball playing at the line if he goes there. Rudolf to lock, Finucane defends and probably plays as the hooker

Disgusting, but probably. Surely that's a Fitz Fail (c) if that's his plan though.
Geez Billy really screwed up his chance... The 2022 game has changed in ways that only gave him more opportunity.

Seems Billy is a few weeks from being able to play for the Wolves, will be interesting to see how he goes. Maybe he'll be one of those 'finds his form, comes back as a transformed player' types

Was just listening to the Sharkscast podcast and they brought up the possibility of Brailey filling in for one of the halves if they went down part way through the game. I hadn't thought of that.

Yeah should of added very last resort and hope we don’t get to that.

Literally losing our 3 “utilities” McInnes, Tracey, Graham but coming up against a strong Raiders pack round 1 has put us in a bit of a tough situation. Run 3 forwards and hope some aren’t under done, along with Metcalf just in case? Or fingers crossed and run the big bench to stick it to the Raiders pack?

I think Billy should go alright in Super League but who knows, apparently low work ethic.

Four - Trindall.
The Raiders carry three forwards and a hooker, unless you count Starling as a forward (I don't think you should).
Their bench doesn't stand a chance... what an utter mismatch, just look at em'!

Forgot Trindall

Haha ours does look more intimidating. I think our bench can definitely make the bigger impact in the game if used right.
