Yeah will probably keep like he was with Starling this year and spend some time at lock.

Wonder if a clear winner will emerge from Liddle and Simpkin or keep fighting it out

I think Liddle is fine, his issue was a terrible run with knee injuries.

They also have another good hooker who played quite a bit this year.

I get what you're saying but I think Hodgson gets in the way. Suppose he could play a bit of lock though.

He's on 900k next year so Canberra would have to chip in something. Certainly wouldn't pay him 600k now.
jake simpkins is the other 9, he is a sensational young talent in the making

just needs to leave the tigers

Roosters get 5.7m from the State for their Centre of Excellence.

That's nice, they needed the money.

Looks like Tigers will be signing Josh Hodgson for next year.

Typical signing for them, someone well past their prime.

upgrade on what we have tbf

Blayke needs to justify his position in 2022 or he will be headed to the dolphins to back up Mahoney :sneaky:

Anyone know when membership renewals begin?
Per email from club about a week ago " 2022 Cronulla Sharks Membership will be ready for renewal on November 1. "
No rollovers this year , you need to go into membership portal from Nov 1 . Renew by 15 Nov to retain same seat back at Pointsbet.

Yeah - that’s great for him - I thought they would go with a Neil Henry or Michael Hagan type ..
Probably doesn’t want to be overshadowed by a long time coach / wants a young coach who is gunna be on the same page as him

Fitzzy confirmed him as one of his assistants for next year I thought though, does that mean he'll take both assistant roles throughout the year?

Given Fitz was NSW assistant & Roosters assistant I don’t think he’ll mind Hannay doing both

Tigers got their moneys worth :)

Former Wests Tigers star Joey Leilua has taken a brazen swipe at coach Michael Maguire after reports emerged he had been offered a massive pay cut.

As first reported by The Daily Telegraph, the Tigers had offered Leilua a train and trial contract worth $1000 per-week.

According to the News Corp report, the 29-year-old was previously earning around $850,000 per-year, meaning he would be copping a $800,000 pay cut after tax if he accepted the modest contract.
