We’re not gonna challenge this year, but **** i’ll finish with a smile on the dial if we knock over the storm, make the finals again, and **** canberra over at the last minute

Could there possibly be any more motivation than that? If we don't turn up for this game then we're basically the Tigers in a different strip

That's very harsh and unfair on us.

Mate, we haven't played the game yet... Look, it's probably a bit sensational, but not far from the way we'd be perceived. You see a teams character in these games, and we've seen the Tigers'. Let's not be like the Tigers.

How would you feel about the team or individuals if they didn't come out swinging in a game this big? We're seeing finals footy played now by teams that know the attitude needed, and we need to show that same spirit this week. It's a test of character for mine. The results will come when the squad develops, but they need to show they have that foundation first and individually deserve their spots in the team long term. That's how I look at it anyway, and my biggest critique of players generally

One of my favorite memories was smashing the Raiders in the 2008 semi final and then some **** raiders player on the Tele the next day or whatever crying after the Storm lost to the Warriors which ended the Raiders season **** lol it was so funny. glorious

I think our attitude and desire will be there for this game. Whether we can play and defend for 80 mins at a high enough level to beat the storm is another thing. At least it's not being played at AAMI

It's all I really want to see tbh. The win would be a big, unexpected, satisfying bonus

Ideally I’d love the raiders to win in a nail biter then they can dance a merry little gig for 22 hours, only for us to beat the storm… priceless….

haha and for us to beat the storm with a controversial decision in the 79th minute so Sticky can whinge about the refs in a game that didn't even involve his team

this would be even sweeter than scraping into 8th position over the raiders with F/A only a single +1 point superior lol

Yeah how good, maybe also would put the extra Rocket up the Team to double down and take the chance Bellamy has given by Resting most front liners. Gotta upset a few of their players early, get NAS sent off for 10 for a start.

Storm might be better coming 2nd and playing Mitchelless Rabbits .
Rather than a Turbo Manly

Fair call, thought you were comparing us as a club to them, not just on this game.

All good mate. Think I'd donate the jersey to the Smith Family if that were the case... not that I'd want to do inflict that onto someone already struggling

So the bookies have us at $3.25 which seems about right.

Here's a question, if we could lock in a one point loss now, would you take it?

Assuming Canberra lose, would mean the Titans need to win by 23.

I wanna say no but I don't think the Titans win by 23+ either so...

Tough one

Wow great Hypothetical. My heart says no, go for the win (which we can), but our history in "Must win" games is just so Poor, so my head says take the honourable 1 pt loss, and buckle up. The latter it is!!!!

Hmm... a few too many things needing to go our way there. We're not expected to go any further, but maybe there's just enough 2016 Sharks DNA still splattered around the sheds to help get a result... that's no deal thanks HB

Nothing but a win will get us there. I think Titans would easily cover the 23pts needed if we lose by 1pt.

Reports Ryley Jacks to give Jarome Hughes an early rest .

Reckon they plan to blow us off the park early - we must be ready and muscle up …

just throw every game until you come up against a team you wanna play - do this enough and you won't have to worry about playing any teams for a while...

had no idea those 2 boys were into that sorta thing. generous but I think we should politely decline until post game. we need our muscle for the full 80
