If Turbo doesn't play Raiders are a real chance, but I agree mostly. Storm are already starting to rest players so we probably get flogged in rd 25. We need to win both of these to be a chance. Lose now and it's mad Monday.

Turbo's confirmed to play apparently

If if he doesn't that whole team is playing well now, they'll beat Canberra either way.

Canberra got a good chance this week. They took it to the storm and if it wasn’t for couple of stupid penalties
Canberra could have won. Saying that I won’t be tipping them.

It appears Moylan is a good chance to play on Saturday. Needs to do some final running etc but he seemed confident.

Moylan back will make a huge difference to this team. Feels weird saying it but we've played our best footy with him in.

This is great news! Moylan 6 and Tracey 4 strengthens us a lot.

I hope Metcalf keeps the bench spot over Hiroti in his case. Talakai can cover an injury in the centres and I think Metcalf would benefit the team more with a short stint to create.

Surely Metcalf keeps his spot. He's a grea sub option imo, and only going to get better. Bit of time training at wing and centre can't hurt.

I liked his kicking game, wonder if he's maybe a long term half option to partner Nicho. Does he spend time in the Jets learning his craft as a half or get first grade experience as super sub.

I've said it before but wouldn't mind seeing how he goes at centre. The dude is fast.

Let’s see, doesn’t fill me with any confidence with either him or the Medico’s, he was supposedly good to go for the Broncos game, pulls out in the warm up & hasn’t played a minute since, to think, we’ve invested another 400k of our cap next year in him, crazy stuff, almost like we’ve already pi#%ed up 400k of our cap for next season without kicking a ball.

If we put in the same effort as last week I think we win. Depends how much that game took out of us physically and mentally.

Fit SJ & Moylan (or even just one of them) and we should have already locked down a top 8 spot by now

This is what makes both these players such a massive liability for the team, you tend to go backwards without them and they spend large periods of time on the sidelines BUT when they are fit their form can still be patchy
However Moylan has been a solid consistent player for us this year but he is lucky to have secured another contract at our club and is lucky it wasn't minimum wage which is all he deserved after years of thieving a salary

I think our season ends this weekend , can we really put forward 2 decent defensive performances back to back? if so then we should win but yea....

I actually thought during the knights game there was just 1 round to go in the season, the game against the Storm then saw we still have 3 games left lol says something about how I feel with this team/season

This week, We probably match up with the side most like us in terms of mental capacity & strength,
some weeks they turn up, some weeks they go MIA
I wonder which Sharks & Tigers teams are playing this Saturday arvo.

NRL Site Today ( GREAT NEWS Metcalf )

Sharks: Matt Moylan will be a late inclusion following a further setback with a calf injury a fortnight ago. Sharks coach Josh Hannay said the veteran playmaker would be restricted to limited minutes but was in good spirits about getting back on the field.

He will move from the reserves to the interchange, Luke Metcalf has been promoted to start at five-eighth, with Connor Tracey shifting to centre and Mawene Hiroti dropping out of the squad altogether on Friday along with Will Chambers.

Ronaldo Mulitalo has been named to play after failing a head injury assessment during last weekend's game.

Teig Wilton (hamstring) has been added to the bench as he returns from a hamstring injury and looks set to play.

The Sharks have won six of their past seven games against the Tigers

Wow, didn't see that happening.

was not an option I think anyone was anticipating, although it is just the best option with a bit more caution for Moylan (and a good opportunity for Metcalf)

Question is though, why didn’t he just name Metcalf at 6 on Tuesday with Tracey at 3 and Hiroti at 14?

Possible Hiroti's hand still isn't 100%, also possible he doesn't have full confidence in Metcalf starting but more comfortable with it with a half on the bench he can replace him with if needed.
Or heaps of other options I guess, but those seem to me the most likely

Looking forward to seeing more of Metcalf in the role.

I wonder how much say Fitz has in trying players out so that he can work out where to spend the cap for next year. I guess I shouldn't be forgetting Mooney of course.
