shame he played 6 games less, would have smoked golden boy

I think we can confidently say that would of been the case. Add to that, less injury interruptions means it wouldn’t of taken him so long to hit his stride. If Johnson has an injury free year I think he’d be well ahead.

LEADERBOARD ROUND 24 (Morris - 3, Mulitalo - 2, Prior - 1)

1st: Chad Townsend - 19.5
2nd: Shaun Johnson - 17.5
3rd: Josh Morris - 14
4th: Braden Hamlin-Uele - 13
5th: Josh Dugan - 11.5
6th: Andrew Fifita - 10
7th: Matt Moylan - 8
8th: Wade Graham - 7
9th: Briton Nikora - 6
10th: Aaron Woods - 5
11th: Kurt Capewell - 4.5
=12th: Kyle Flanagan - 4
=12th: Sosaia Feki - 4
=14th: Blayke Brailey - 3
=14th: Paul Gallen - 3
=14th: Ronaldo Mulitalo - 3
17th: Bronson Xerri - 2
=18th: Jayden Brailey - 1
=18th: Jack Williams - 1
=18th: Matt Prior - 1

The scramble for final spot on the podium has another twist with Morris reclaiming third. Mulitalo makes up some spots and gets off the bottom of the leaderboard. A belated welcome to the leaderboard to Matty Prior.

So it comes to down to the final game. Townsend near unbackable favourite to claim top honours unless Johnson recovers in time for the Tigers game.

What if we get into the finals mate? Surely they count? Or have season winner then overall inc finals?

Check the Original Post mate. If we get a finals appearance, then we get a new leaderboard for the finals MVP. Main leaderboard is for regular season only.

After a string of bad & mediocre games Chad looks like getting knocked off at the last hurdle when he actually had a solid game

Yeah, I just thought it was funny the killing blow comes not after one of his bad games, but when he actually played pretty well.

Still time for 10-15 people to give Ronnie 2 or 3 votes and Johnson no votes for last weeks game and make it end in a Chad/Johnson draw.

how does a fan vote mean so much to you and MB?

he literally gave SJ no votes in some attempt to keep chad on top

we get it, you love him, but its only a fan vote

i think we should get an SF medal and give it to them

Was trying to come up with a little trophy or something, or even a present like a bottle of champers or something, but I don’t know if that sort of thing could get the club in trouble with the NRL or not. I know that sounds ridiculous but you never know with how complicated things are there with them/

AND IT'S BEEN WON AT THE DEATH BY SHAUN JOHNSON!!! Townsend led for most of the year, but SJ has taken it from him in the LAST ROUND to win the very prestigious Sharks Forever Player of the Year Award! We still have the finals to go and when we are done and dusted i'll do a proper write up.
