That is interesting actually. Usually the ad campaigns are very focused on the premiers.

I think, just as a one-off for this year, that any teams caught transgressing in relation to the cap should have to give over one of their top 6 players to the team that won the premiership.

Its all good, they'll just use Cam Smith giving his GF speech and JT kicking golden point from last year.

The only time Sharks feature in NRL advertising we are always being scored against.

I would like to see Jack Bird feature in the Add. Possibly from the time of his injury, grabs of him playing on, and in particular his speech saying he would do anything to win (INC scratch eyes out etc) for the boys, then fading to the great flame filled shot off the players with the cup.

Now that's the Rugby League promo I want to see, in Vogue with the 70s Tooheys and KB ADDs.

I've heard this before, but it just appeared on facebook so I'll share it:

A primary schoolteacher explains to her class that she is a Dragons fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they too, are Dragons fans. Everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl.

The teacher looks at the girl with surprise and says,
"Mary, why didn't you raise your hand?

"Because I'm not a Dragons fan, " she replied.

The teacher, still shocked, asked, "Well if you are not a Dragons fan, then who are you a fan of?

"I am a Sharks fan and proud of it, " Mary replied.

The teacher could not believe her ears. "Mary, why are you a Sharks fan? "

"Because my mum is a Sharks fan, and my dad is a Sharks fan, so I'm a Sharks fan too!"

"Well, " said the teacher in an obviously annoyed tone, "that is no reason for you to be a Sharks fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all of the time. What if your mum was a prostitute and your dad was a drug addict, what would you be then?

Mary smiled, and said...............

"Then I'd be a Dragons fan.

I went to high school with mainly Parramatta and Newcastle supporters. This was between 2000-2005..............when they were good and we were not so good.................. I wish I was still at high school this year.
