I think emotion played a part in their form last year after they lost points. We'll see I guess, would be nice to see them make it for 2010.

they were entrenched in they 8 when they lost points though, they have a solid roster and have strengthened it, despite having to shed players

Getting nbn connected next fortnight, so a quick question though I won't go with Foxtel id just instead get NRL stream pass, do they now let you plug in a hd cable to watch it on your Tele from pc, or still only on little screen?

Souths halves for round 1

6. Cody Walker
7. Luke Kelly

:ridiculed

That is Cronulla-esque from years gone by.

No you can't do it. There may be a work-around that I don't know about though.

You can get Foxtel Play which allows you to put it on a bigger screen (some newer TVs even have a built in app). Not sure how it compares on price to traditional Foxtel but you can go a month to month contract.

There are ways. livestream.com/nrl has high quality, free streaming of all NRL games, plus you can watch replays. Just need a VPN app such as Hola.

Heard he did his knee again. Needs a third reconstruction.
Poor bloke.

yeah he did it pretty early in the off season. Either way no chance he'd get a start having hardly played the last few years. Including this injury he'll hardly have played the last 3 years.

What do people think about the Roosters this year? A lot is going to fall on Pearce's shoulders with Flash at FB and Keary at 6, who I don't rate. They do still have a gun forward pack though.

Yeah.
I don't really get very excited by a Pearce/Keary combo. Especially with Flash out the back. Bit of talent littered throughout the squad in other areas though.

They've got some handy outside backs and edge players that can do well if given good ball in a good structure.

Connor Watson and Jake Friend might might pose a threat too.

I think their forwards will need to dominate teams which they are capable of doing. Especially JWH.

i dont see them as a premiership threat, or favourite, but they are a top 8 team

you saw how bog they were without pearce compared to with pearce, he is a hell of a club footballer. i think top 6 and maybe week 3 if they are lucky. spine doesnt really excite me

Once Watson takes Keary spot they'll be gun.

That kid is a weapon

Can't remember who it was but one of the guys on Fox last night compared him to a young Craig Wing. I thought that was a pretty good comparison.
