i didn't watch it last night but is the interchange award a new one, i wonder how they awarded that & is it open to all positions or just forwards?

The winners aren't too controversial although its got me %*%*ed how Aaron Woods keeps getting the raps, i must be not watching close enough with all the brilliance he must be doing.

Some players could make strong arguments for missing out like our own Brailey but you cant begrudge Kotric, he looks to be a real talent, possibly Vunavaulu is unlucky but Ropana had a hell of year, based off the second half of the season Semi was just about the best winger in the game.

Whiddop probably stole most of Vaughan's potential points.

Woods would have probably got the Tigers' points nearly every week- partly because the judges probably don't even know the other players. He's the only "name" player in the team.

It's a stupid way to do it. Someone like Bromwich probably gets **** all votes because the other three constantly get votes. So in the NRL's infinite wisdon that must mean he's not as good as Woods.

Morons.

yea you just gotta stand out amongst a sea of turds if your team mates suck and even if your losing each week - still doesn't explain how opposition forwards wern't getting the votes over Woods every other week though and I'm not saying Woods stood out either.
He has some decent games at times but he no where near represents the NRL's best prop of 2017

I don't really follow the points that much, but it seems to me that they'll often give 2 of the points to the winning team and one to the losing team.

So

3. winning team player
2. losing team player
1. winning team player

or

3. winning team player
2. winning team player
1. losing team player

Please note that I haven't bothered to fact check this at all. Just an observation.

The NRL is offloading thousands of free tickets to its non-Sydney grand final in a bid to fill the 83,000-capacity ANZ Stadium for Sunday's season-ending showdown.

With out-of-towners Melbourne and North Queensland contesting the decider, ticket sales have been much softer than usual, with the league turning to Sydney juniors as the answer to fleshing out the grand final crowd.

An NRL spokesperson strongly denied up to 20,000 tickets were being handed out, as some industry insiders suggested on Wednesday, claiming the figure was only a few thousand. In any event, the match is not expected to sell out.

Here's a radical idea, make tickets affordable. I paid over $300 for mine last year. As if neutral fans are going to cough up that much.

South of the border, tickets to Saturday's AFL grand final between Richmond and Adelaide are virtually impossible to come by, the majority of which are split between club, MCC and AFL members.

About 100,000 fans are expected to pile into the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday, following the 94,258 who watched Richmond beat GWS at the venue last weekend.

But the AFL has the luxury of a traditional Melbourne club in its grand final while the NRL has had just one Sydney team in its showpiece game since 2014.

Still sells out in super fast time regardless. Poor comparison.

I bought my tickets after we were through... Do they change how much they charge for these ones depending on who makes it?

Me too. Don't know if they change pricing.

Either way, it's pretty embarrassing for the NRL if they can't sell out a grand final imo, regardless of who's playing.
