The only problem with 18th man for HIA is the way coaches will work it. All of a sudden dugan goes down with a hammy strain, oh no its a concussion. Bring on mr 18. Needs careful planning to avoid situations where its exploited.

18th man only for hia where foul play caused it. That way, like last night, dragons got the disadvantage from the raiders shoulder charge.

Yeah fair call with the for foul play only. Its also where the independent doctors are so important to avoid abuse of the rule.

Long-serving forward Sam Thaiday has been told his time at NRL club Brisbane will end after next season.

The 32-year-old has spent his entire 268-game career at the Broncos, winning the 2006 premiership.

I'd say with Thaiday, its Brisbane's way of saying if anyone wants him for 2 years, they wont stand in his way.
