I wish the whole game would ramp back on all these different jerseys for different occasions.

Obviously it pays off in merch sales or they'd stop it but I do reckon there has to be some loss in changing your visual identity on the field so often. You should be able to identify a Club from colours alone. In some rounds if you took the badges off you'd have no idea who was playing unless you recognised players.

Agree mate, I hate it. I love flicking on the TV and seeing Collingwood or Essendon or Richmond or Carlton etc etc still playing in the same jersey they've been wearing for 50+ years. Sure, they all have an alternative jersey but they always stick with their home jerseys.

This constant changing of jerseys ****s me no end. No tradition.

Why do we need a "gridiron" style jersey, the Sharks played rugby league last time I checked.

Same reason we have the baseball jerseys and basketball singlets, kids=$$.

Problem is these youngens prefer to wear a basketball singlet of a team they've never seen play, then buy a jersey of a NRL team they've always supported.

Cost mate. $159.95 is a ridiculous price for a glorified t shirt

Yeah, apart from members jersey I don't think I've ever paid full price for a jersey.

Less than a hungy and you've got my attention.

Ive bought a few. In the last 5 years ive bought maybe 6 jerseys. The kids have best and less ones (which are still licensed). Look like our current strip anyway.

This could have been a great piece of merch, I have been asking for a grid iron style jersey for some time...

Unfortunately, the execution on this has missed the mark. The back of the jersey is spot on, the numbers on the shoulders look great! The problem is the front of the jersey. NFL jerseys have the number on the front as well, that's what makes them an NFL jersey!

The giant logo on the front PLUS the logo's on the sleeve just make it look a bit tacky and not authentic.

Just put a "67" on the front, with a Sharks logo over the heart, get rid of the logo's from the sleeves and replace them with the hoops stripes and you have got an authentic looking jersey that is still clearly recognisable as a piece of Sharks merchandise.

Oh! It was so close! When I saw the back of this jersey at the merch stand, I thought, "YES!!" Then I saw the front and went, "Aaaargh!"

Come on Sharks, I want to give you my money, I really do! Just take my money!

We really need to get on top of the look of our merch.

Souths went from having the worst brand in the league with a tacky image to probably the best. They obviously engaged decent designers to look at everything.

This stuff is important. I can't buy **** I won't wear. And I'm not wearing stuff that looks like it's from Best and Less.

Some of Souths gear looks good, some is appalling. Have you seen those "Sons of Glory" jackets? And the white baseball caps? Look like something a drug dealer would wear!...hmmm, makes sense I guess.

Anyway, I agree with you in part about our merch. I think we have improved considerably with many items, the basketball jersey was good, the baseball jacket and hoodies are good and the baseball style jersey would be OK if they would just GET RID of that stupid CSFC logo! Just put "Sharks" on everything, simple!

That said, we come up with a few shockers occasionally.

Our merch is great when comparing it to others like Bulldogs and Warriors. They even make the biggest Ed Hardy fans cringe.

We may not have the best, but we're nowhere near the worst.

Saw the NFL themed jersey in person today at the Leagues club.

Looks better in person than it does on print. Personally don't mind it.

don't rate the big sharks logo on the front. doesn't look right. should have small logo or nothing at all with Numbers on the front

also. we should do other names. customisable etc

#13 Gallen
#8 Fifita
#9 Ennis
#5 Holmes

etc

#3 Ettingshausen
#7 Bishop
#2 Rogers
#1 Peachey

dunno if you are allowed to sell old names etc but that would be interesting
