Cracker of an article. l will print that out and put it on the wall at work, for all the non believers to read. When we get the cup we could lock it up in Holts cupboard (davie jones locker ) for only sharkie supporters to see

My understanding is the author of tht article is just an everyday person, not a journo from a newspaper, so I'm not sure how much weight other people would put into his opinion. I could be wrong though. But it was nice to see something published in support of our club rather than bashing it.

I think you're right. Isn't The Roar a platform for basically anyone to publish?

AWOL Canberra Raiders centre Blake Ferguson mute as Anthony Mundine speaks on his behalf

Blake Ferguson lets Anthony Mundine do his talking.

MANY athletes have been accused of being Anthony Mundine's puppet but Blake Ferguson took the cake on Wednesday.

At a strange and awkward media opportunity in Sydney to promote Mundine's upcoming fight against "Sugar" Shane Mosley, Ferguson sat right on the shoulder of his cousin but refused to take questions from the assembled press.

What ensued was something of a ventriloquist act.

Mundine began the media session with the disclaimer that Ferguson would not be taking questions.

"Blake's not here to do any talking, he's here to support me," Mundine said.

"I'll be doing the talking - I'm used to that so it's all good."

The Origin centre has has gone AWOL from the Raiders and was stood down last week. He is due to face the club's board later this week to determine his future.

The only time Ferguson spoke was when responding to a question about whether he would be taking up Mundine's offer to fight on his undercard.

Ferguson held back from speaking until Mundine said: "See what happens," and Ferguson simply repeated the phrase.

Pressed on whether Ferguson owed the fans to speak about his situation, Mundine assured: "In due time, Blake will say something."

Averaging 24.4 points a game as well. We'd be lucky to score 24 points in one game in a season these days

question regarding the finals series.

i know they cut the home fields rule for regional centres, but what if for arguments sake we came 5th and tigers, roosters or souths came 8th. tigers and roosters use allianz as a home ground and souths use anz. meaning youd have to play a home semi at the opposition home field?

seems this rule would only suit certain finals fixtures and not all

It sucks for the suburban Sydney teams and benefits everybody else. Stupid system. Either play all at ANZ and Allianz or let everyone play at their designated home grounds for the first two finals games.

It does however benefit us if we make the second round getting to play at a neutral ground rather then somewhere like brookvale

hmm makes for an interesting round now for us, i guess we rest as many players that need it, and take newy?

I'd have to agree... Newcastle's my first choice of opposition.
Hoped the Dogs had of won,,
Then it would have been taken out of our hands..

But Newcastle can still lose against parra so it's a blessing in disguise that the broncos win cause we can choose who we play.

I know HIGHLY unlikely but stranger things have happened lol
