We can advance down the field we showed that. The issue is our attack. We have in Lewis, Graham, Tupou and Bukuya. Brilliant edge attack. If Gal wants a break I'm sure Ross or Fafita can step and play an extra 5 or 10 minutes.

Exactly, if you use Gal for 80 minutes this season, come the finals, he'll be puffing.

If Gal is to move to the front row, he plays prop minutes, maybe a little more. Not 80 every game. He does that in origin 3 times a year and it smashes him.

We have Gal, Lewis, Toops, Graham, Boogs and Heighno, Gal can move, and theres plenty of talent to fill the void. If we can get Gal, Lewis, Graham and Bakuya all on the field at once, HOLY ****

Gallen's problem last year was that he got an injury, not fatigue.

I don't see why it is so unthinkable that a player should play a full 80. 40 minutes + 10 minutes rest + 40 minutes isnt THAT big of an ask for an elite athlete IMO. There are plenty of other sports where people are required to do more for longer.

I'm not saying it's easy or anything. God knows it's certainly not, but Gallen is more than capable of doing 80 minutes at NRL level.

I dont mind Gallen playing 80min sometimes and I think he can easily do it, as long as he doesnt try and monopolise the ball all the time. He just has to play like he does in the Aus team.
People rave on about his stats and meters gained and what an iron man he is. Thats all well and good but a lot of that just tells me that he just hogs the ball a bit and doesnt play smart.
Does anybody honestly believe that when Gallen plays 80 minutes and takes 2 or 3 hitups a set its because no one else wants to run??
With the team we have now Id rather other players like Graham,Bukuya, Lewis etc get more minutes and more touches of the ball.

Exactly and split the other 80 minutes between Fafita and Ross.

This. Plus we should use him more as a decoy. Would give plenty of space for the backs

This I've said this before he needs to be used as a decoy more. He will easily attract a couple of defenders as they will expect him to her the ball because he always does
He gets used as a decoy in the aust side and it worked well

Totally agree RE decoy.

If ANYONE should be used as a decoy more often it's him. Every team sweat on the ball going to him because he is hard to bring down and for so many recent years we really haven't had much else.

This could be one of our big advantages this year.3 solid go to options for attack on the fringes in gal Lewis an graham.. Toops bakuya as well if they get a run ... If gal continues to post huge numbers in metres gained this year again then something is wrong in our options IMO !

80 minutes in the front row week in week out will make him fatigued. Im not saying he can't do it, but you want 100% effort and fitness all season, not for the first 10 rounds. He did get an injury, but you have to remember the way it happened, he hurt his leg against the Rabbitohs, a week and a bit from origin, he left the field saying he didnt wanna hurt it more BECAUSE ORIGIN was near. He played 80 minutes every origin game, under an injury cloud, put in hard yards for them, but still missed alot of club games at the same time. Im not talking about loyalty or anything like that, but his injury was to blame for him missing the later part of the season etc, but his injury wasnt bad enough to miss origin.
