I don't see chad performing, not at the level required. At least Lewis had size and a ability going for him. Lets hope Stewart is also out...

Apparently Brett Stewart was never going to be fit, and why would they risk him in this match when they are already thinking about next week.

Lets hope we surprise them and really give them a run for their money

I'm inclined to agree. Hopefully he starts on the bench and isn't brought on until the Manly forwards are sore and tired. I have a bad feeling he will start though.

All Chad can do is go out and give his best. (If he plays!!)

He's not Carney and shouldn't be expected to do what Carney can. Carney is one of the best halves going around and is freakishly good at his best.

Chad can play a good structure game, with some decent kicks and some nice little plays here and there. He needs to keep a level head, not overplay his hand and get the kicking right. If he can do that then we can set a reasonable platform for the more seasoned players like Lewis, Gordon, Fififta, Gallen, Toops, Wade etc to pull out the bigger plays. (Hopefully Gallen doesn't think it's all up to him either).

Yep Stewart is out. Manly fans are getting nervous. We have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Up Up Cronulla.

I also expect the odds to come in a bit before kick off, I think we are out at $4 at one stage. Id expect to be around the $3.25-$3.50 mark

Yeah, id prefer lewy as hes much more the solid option, and gives us an extra forward which will need for the bash-a-thon that is about to be.
In saying that chad opens up some other attacking options, and if he's on his game who know.

If they go that way then wish him all the best, and hopefully he'll want to stick it up flanno and show him what he missed out on.

I think this game will be won or lost in the first 25 mins for us. Manly will come out firing and could blow us off the park early with their execution.
This has happened to us several times in the past in big games. The opposition plays at a level we just cant cope with.
Think Storm 08, Bulldogs 2012, Storm and Roosters this year.

If its nil all or very close after 25 I think we are a good chance.

Stats have shown in games we lead or tie in st half time we have a high probability of winning. If we can manage that today, then who knows. Our boys need to belt the **** out of them. Flash for mom, tipping him to play out of his skin tonight.

If I was flano my game plan would be to start Lewis in the halves and bring Chad on about the 25th minute mark. Let Lewis take the big hits in the opening exchanges and as they forwards get tired, let chad start creating some space.

Id then probably do something similar in the second half let Lewis start at 5/8 for the first 15 then bring Chad back in the 55th minute to finish out the game - unless Chad is doing well and handling him self just leave him there after the 25th minute.

I don't know what his game plan will be but I am sure its pretty strong.

Without snake they are going to struggle to score points IMO. We also struggle to score points on a good day especially without Carney.

Defence will be the key to this. Lets hope they can muscle up.

With no Stewart I'm happier knowing Lewy is in the forwards...give him the ball the man runs hard and finds gaps. Chad should go ok without their back line pressure.
