Did anyone watch the doco on Usain Bolt on SBS the other night? Apart from being a freak athlete he's quite a funny guy.

Usian's been struggling of late, I hope he hits form and breaks his records in the 100/200m.

Good character.

True. Had a look at the schedule, actually works out quite well for us. Plenty of finals are an at around 6-7am in the morning.

Can't see any records being broken in the running unless the rain goes away.

Love the opening ceremony so far... So much for them to pick from in terms of history, music, culture and stars, but have done a good job. Hope the rest of the Olympics is as good, and that the media stop whingeing about London now!

Australia's women's 4x100m freestyle relay team have won Australia's first gold medal of the London Olympics on Saturday.
Alicia Coutts, Cate Campbell, Britanny Elmslie and Melanie Schlanger finished ahead of the Netherlands with the US in third.

Party girl Rice surrendered her Olympic 400m individual medley title and had her world record shattered as Chinese teenager Ye Shiwen powered to a stunning victory in London on Saturday.
Rice was sixth as 16-year-old Shiwen produced a remarkable final 100m to blow the field away and clock four minutes 28.43 seconds, more than a second faster than the Australian's mark (4:29.45) set winning the event at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
American Elizabeth Beisel (4:31.27) was second ahead of China's Li Xuanxu (4:32.91) in third.

I hope to see Rickard and Sprenger do well in the final tonight, it will be good to see one of them come on the podium, definately both though

Good on Liesel Jones for sticking it up the media. Finishing 5th in an Olympic final, awesome job.

@gando, the white caps are made with some new fancy material whilst the gold caps are the older fabric. Why Speedo couldn't make the new caps in gold is beyond me.

How good is the bball... loving both the womens and mens.

Bad luck to the boomers, fairly good result against a team with the majority of the starting team being NBA players. Next up spain...

Opals had a loss last night, absolute miracle shot to tie it up haha
