Does anyone know how many members we have signed up to date? It's dropped of the radar doesnt the club care about membership numbers in 2012?? I'd think we would be doing everything possible to continue to drive numbers and possibly reach 8000-10000 (not like we have cash to burn)

It's 19th January and if we are at the 3,000 mark we are in trouble. Didnt we get to 7,500 last year. I doubt it very much we will even get to 5,000 by kick off just 6 weeks away.....

Just as an FYI, the Club (if it maintains it's course) is on target to generate more Membership revenue than it has in any year in its history. THOSE are the numbers you should be worried about if you're a Sharks fan, not the gimmick "publicity stunt" numbers that people throw out.

so what was the real 2011 membership number ? im sure it can be shared ?

the facts state 6,789 all....and 3,107 ticketed (page 14 & 15)

we are at just over 3,000 with 6 weeks to go.....unless we have a huge admin backlog i doubt we will reach an increase on last year in the year we need it most....hope the numbers the sharks are sharing (i.e 3,000 refer to ticketed members only)

Epic fail! :gal:

Epic Fail x2 :p

Looking forward to the team starting off this historic 2012 season, in a more convincing fashion than you guys :ridiculed

not really, just pointing out there are probably lots of us that will be last minute inclusions so numbers may spike.

How well you understand the Membership game depends on what your answer to the following three questions are;

1. Do you believe that every Club actually has the numbers they're reporting?

2. Which Membership figure is the reason Club's do Memberships; the number of Members or the amount of revenue it generates?

3. Would you rather have 100 Platinum Members or, for the sake of a nicer number, would you rather have 1,000 Shark Net Members?

One more slice of food for thought...

Last year the Club had 6,789 Members and generated $X all year.

This year the Club has over 3,500 Members and has generated 90% of $X made the year before with sixteen weeks of strong sales opportunities still ahead.

Which is a healthier position to be in?
