His last suspension was for demerit points I believe. I don’t know about a previous dui. Yeah he just didn’t renew it, pretty sure it was only a few days overdue. If it was on its own it’d probably just be a warning and not even make the news
Yeah it’d just be a fine at worst.
The dui and coke are pretty significant. I still think he deserves a decent stand own because we don’t want our season being derailed by an ill timed WADA test

Doesn’t need to be kicked from club or anything though

We'll derail it by giving our 1st choice 5/8 a decent stand down instead? How would him playing increase the chance of an ill timed WADA test? If you're drugged up its always ill timed. I'd like to think Braydon might be off the baggies for a bit.

I’d like everyone to be off them and giving him more than a slap on the wrist can contribute to that

Most people are missing the biggest issue imo.
It’s internal he is going to have the biggest issues, the squad have worked so hard to get where they are and for him to go out to continue to drink and party then try and turn up to training 3 x over the legal limit with coke in his system won’t go down well at all.

At the same time the boys will forgive and rally behind him.

As Cam said - if one of the boys failed, it means they all did (ie not looking after each other)

Yes and yes.

But let’s just wait for the outcome of the “official“ retest to see if there is even an “illicit drug“ issue.

the initial test could just as easily have registered a false positive

The squad will be disappointed but he’s going to be more disappointed with himself.

How he responds to this will be the telling part and I think the club will bring him back to training soon as it’s better he’s around his team mates than being alone not able to train.

He probably won’t play till the court date , maybe the drug test coming back negative might change that timeline but feel he’ll sit out till the court date and the NRL will see that as suffice

Hope he is looking after himself - poor bugger seems to have something going on in that nogging of his:

Error 1 - Disqualified from driving, don’t know when - not uncommon, but maybe this could have been the wake up call?

Error 2 - He was busted circa July / August after the South’s game last year for driving while suspended from (1), maybe this could have been a second wake up call.

Error 3 - Sunday nights calamity.

Hope he finds his answers of what is behind the above rocky path - maybe the pressure of footy helps, maybe not, but Braydon Trindall the bloke is more important than a game.

I did some pretty dumb things in my teens/early 20s not that dissimilar to what he's done. They're dumb things rather big things, I'm sure he'll be fine

Also like Toby was off the booze this year .
5 beers ( not beer fit ) would have felt like 15 , decision making becomes VERY poor .
BUT , I feel he has to earn back his trust and cop something.
If his replacements REALLY shine in his absence, then work your way back into team from NSW Cup

Really?
He should of said nothing until he achieved his ambition.
He said not drinking was aiding his injury.
Oh well, so much for that .
