So stoked for Green. He definitely had some form lapses but you can see there's a serious cricketer there. Hope this is what takes him to the next level.

Definitely a serious cricketer there, that's never been the issue. For mine he's never really looked comfortable with the bat at Test level, almost like he lacks a bit of self belief. Hopefully this is the innings he needed because I love his bowling and fielding.

For sure. Maybe he was brought in a bit early, but it's a tricky thing once that decision has been made not to cut down a young players confidence further.

Hopefully has found a new home at 4

That session was beyond my wildest expectations. What a tenth wicket stand, both played they’re roles to perfection.

Yeah I didn’t check until it was already lunch break and was expecting to see NZ had been playing most of the morning haha

Really good effort to pick it back up and go on with it

Can't believe this is our first test series there in 8 years. Should be a more regular beat up on little brother.

Well good on Phillips and Henry (decent knock to go with this five wickets) for showing some ticker, but my god what a disaster class for the rest of them.

That runout especially was just embarrassing.

As expected, no follow on.

Hmmm.. dare say they'll stick for the next test but certainly looking a bit ropey for him now. Anyone in shield cricket really sticking their hand up for his spot?
They’ll definitely stick with him in the next test on the narrative of “its our last test until the Indian series next summer so no point in making a change now, might as well give him a chance to play himself into form”.

Bancroft. Smith ain’t an opener, put him back at 3.
