You blokes are beyond retarded.

Our team was undefeated for 16 rounds straight, we played the toughest game of our season last week and played tonight's game against a fresh Raiders team? What did you expect?

That was very disappointing. The Raiders were diabolical in that first 15 minutes and we failed to capitalise. I thought we were certainties early on. Then Canberra was amazingly strong in the forwards and great in attack.

The defence was totally different to the last 15 odd games.

The loss was coming. We haven't been playing well for a while. Their best player was the hooker and losing ennis was not only big for our attack and defence but that mental game he plays against opponents.

Professionals? Winners get it done, if we accept not being good enough as an excuse then we will never be good enough

Raiders were better than us tonight but bigger challenges ahead to face to bag a gf win

A few things

* Canberra were excellent tonight, they rushed up on our playmakers in defence and put them under intense pressure and our guys couldn't handle it.
* Canberra's forwards dominated us most of the match tonight, they regularly carted the ball 60-70 metres a set, an embarrassment for our forward pack. The critics are right, our pack is too small to compete against the likes of Canberra.
* It really worries me how bad we were around the ruck without Micky Ennis considering he's retiring. Nu Brown was decent, but we need more from him if he takes over, hopefully a full pre-season training as hooker helps him out. McIllwrick simply didn't offer enough in attack, not an option for next season in my mind.
* Our defence was soft tonight, soft defence is never acceptable on home turf.
* Hope we learned some harsh lessons tonight, we better otherwise once again we are pretenders. Also there is a good chance we will play Canberra in the first round of the finals.
* Our attack inside the 20 looked very familiar.........like old Cronulla familiar.

How Could ennis have a stomach bug, but apparently still be in coaches box? Seems odd hope it's nothing more serious injury wise...
Annoying too lose but still up on my toes over the season, be weird feeling for the boys at recovery tommoz and training this week, watch plenty of video of the game and get set to do a number on the drags next week.

Lost at sea.
raiders had our right side attack covered all night, as any team thats been watching us for the last 16 weeks should have, credit to raiders, they played to our weaknesses. up the guts, and shut us down out wide. add in our poor handling and decision making and its game over. simples

Beale and Feki were poor tonight in defence and attack.

The whole team was humbled by Canberra tonight.
Backs and forwards.
No one really stepped up.

Leilua, Hodgson and Rapana killed us.

I've played. The point is that adversity will always be there to test the best. It sounds like your giving the team a pass because of a 5 day turn around and that the loss was inevitable. I don't accept that personally. We could face tougher circumstances in a finals game, will you be ok with it then ?

Tough for the players for sure, there will be tougher to come, need to be better and smarter to deal with it

Rapana is arguably Canberra's best back.
Good mix of mongrel and skill.

Unlike his mate Leilua.
Guy has rocks for brains.

Weapon player on his day though.

I thought the Raiders did to us what we have been doing to other sides all season. After the first 15- 20 minutes they were belting us in defence and we never rolled forward. The driving defence that has been a feature all year was seen only a handful of times.

I don't know what happened to Ennis (picked up an injury in the warm up?) but we are rooted as premiership contenders without him. I'm prepared to put that game down to the short turn around, but the remarkable defence that has allowed our attack to be so brilliant was just not there.

Not really a bad loss, will give us a wake up call, not many teams would have backed up and beaten that raiders team, after our game 5 days ago. Will help us re load, Holmes wont play that bad again this year.Just underscores how much Ennis means to this team however.

I'm not giving them a free pass - I seem to be the only one who can see how beaten up they are after a squillion wins and an incredibly tough outing last week.

Anyways, as hopeful as I was for this game, I knew we had no chance this week
