A few brain farts last night but overall very proud of the team and how they are conducting themselves out there. They played so well beyond the atrocious conditions it was just incredible, not just holding the ball for one thing but still showing a willingness to spread it wide early on in the game to catch the defense out. It's amazing to think that our backline can look better than a teams like Souths.

Another great win for the Black White & Blue and massive in the context of this seasons endeavors. They are playing with desire and it is rubbing of with the fans.

And yes that defensive set had 2011 v Dragons written all over it and was almost as good. Thank goodness the ref didn't find a reason to blow a soft penalty. That set gave us back momentum and took alot out of Souths.

You cannot compare that set of 6 in defense to this one against the Dragons. The Dragons went about 20m, the bunnies about 40m.

It can be compared as in context of both games they were equally as important and considering conditions (and our forwards out) and that it also included big hits

But I did say this one against Souths wasn't as good but memorable all the same

It seems that this is happening more often than it used too. A team works hard to trap the opposition in their own quarter and the ref thinks that there must be an unfair advantage or something.

Suddenly it's penalty relief with happy ending.

The 10 metre was very loose last night, and souths got away with some blatant offside at times. The ref was probably more lenient considering the conditions but if that is their approach to it they need to ensure it is consistent for both teams so their is no disadvantage either way. Even the commentators said our line speed last night was excellent

McQueen and Keary were offside all night long.

I though Souths line speed was alot quicker, they were in our face every time.

i would want to see the reply again but the 3 on 1 strip on GI on their goal line in the second half
should have been a penalty awarded to souths

What about the Lewis strip on GI under our posts in the first half.

That was a SHOCKING miss.

Yeah that was a bad miss.

I wonder how we pull up after two games in bad conditions. Surely it has to tale some sort of toll on the body? No doubt a very light week on the paddock this week but still, I hope we back up OK.

I made mention of this to Littleshark and his mate at the time and could not believe the refs missed it. Did anyone watching the Fox coverage hear the commentators mention it at all?

On replay they did, didn't call it live. When i saw it live i'm pretty sure i remember cursing as i expected a penalty. Miracle they missed it.

Oh well, need to maintain ball security... especially in those conditions...

Balances out with the Souths offsides and forward passes not called up

When there was a qik pause in play they went back to it and commented that we got away with one there..

Funny how we get away with some calls when we are actually playing well

Looking back on the last 3 weeks the refs have been reasonable to us, even if they tried to let the Roosters get us in the second half of that particular game

Mate of mind got penalised few years back when he tucked the boot in the back of his shorts and played on, the other bloke was blowing up about it. Was piss funny looking back.
