Mate I don't know what game you were watching. Yes Barba still wasn't great but upstaged by Robbo? You've got to be kidding. And I have no idea why you think Beale was ****. When or if he gets more space he will score tries. Don't know how you could say Holmes was good, he only ever ran first pass from dummy half. Only once did he almost get into space in the second half, had he beaten just one more tackle and he was away.

Sorry, still shaking my head. Upstaged by Robbo. You've got to be kidding.

How many times did barba get caught in the line with ball in hand going sideways. He was belted off a drop out and driven how far back? On a few occasions he was in the tackle before the fifth. Only leaving robbo as the option. I didnt see robbo **** up as much as that hence the upstaged. Birds furst dissalowed try was straight through beale. They always looked likely on beales side of ths field. Leutele on the other hand stood up one of the best centres in the game for our only line break. Barba looks like he doesnt know what hes doing at 6. Just to break it down for you. I could be wrong but I didnt see val miss a tackle, took a great high ball and almost busted the line in the second half. Clearly he played his role on running off the early tackles as all oud wingers do. I remember him taking the tackle twice when the sideline was nearing as our play was width and no depth. Lastly robson tackled well and kicked well. Not bad for a half compensating for a lack of five eigth. Not saying he was great but he wasnt woeful like barba.

Mate you bring up some good points and I'm no means saying Barba was great. He wasn't at all. Totally agree with you there. Yes Robbo is a great defender and that was his strength last night but I believe he was equally as woeful as Barba with the ball in hand.

His passing is too slow, he stands too far away from the dummy half, he telegraphs the plays and kicks either way too deep or far too shallow.

I would not have any problems with him at 9 or back up on the bench or plugging holes in the middle but we need someone else controlling the ruck.

I am one of Val Holmes biggest fans and I know he tried hard but there's no use getting excited over his inclusion while Flanagan is the coach. As for Gerard Beale I thought he showed some good spark in attack but didn't realise it was him that Reed (not Bird) ran through. I think he's better than that.

I don't know what the solution is but they'd better find it and find it quick because fans aren't going to turn up each game to watch that tripe.

We just look clueless, which is incredible for a team with so much experience. Even the usually lively Ennis now looks like a zombie.

Zombie footballers.

Flanno said he watched plenty of footy in his year off, what ****ing games did he watch, did he not watch how other teams attack, they have decoy runners, people trying to confuse the defence, not just spread the ****ing ball

Our "out the back" plays are read more easily than any other team in the comp.

It is pathetic , the whole team looks like they just met each other a fortnight ago.

I have been a defender of flanno on here but last night reflected on him so poorly that I feel hes taking us in a direction this year that is comparable to the doldrums of thr ricky stuart era. The commentators even said it. Too structured. Hes taking the footy player out of the footy player and in its place is a rigid fkn robot. Where does he see our strengths? In what way does he play to them. I cannot see any resemblance to a footy player let alone a six in barba. He's a broken play specialist with natural instincts that only few players have. But here he is completely lost as the structure is not to his strengthss. While I am at it - beale - he is no saviour, his place should not be guarranteed simply from what hes done (nz rep). He is playing with lots of energy but he went completely missing and was dominated. Reeds a good player but so is hodges, and leutele stood him up cold. Flanno better have a plan b as thus far plan is utter rubbish.

Where the hell is Nu Brown? I don't follow lower grades. I was always suspect on Barba at 5/8 (yet completely in favour of giving it a go). Pushing Barba back to fullback and dumping Gordon has to be a serious consideration. Gordon has been rocks and diamonds for more than a year.

I don't think Nu is the silver bullet but he sure would be handy for us right now IMO
