Thanks for the link 2010. I really enjoyed reading the tweets. The direction that management wants to go in sounds good, now it is just a matter of doing it. I assume it will be more of the same at tomorrow's forum meeting.

A question I'd like to see asked is whether or not the clubs looking at ways to cheapen the price of food and drinks on game day.

I know several family's that don't go to games as they can't afford it.

If we want to get family's through the gates we need to lower the prices.

My impressions of the night was very positive.

So far I've really enjoyed everything Gorman has said about the club and it's future. Started off pretty much reiterating what was said during the announcement of his appointment.
Stated that he had safer or "softer offers"

Membership staff were on hand so I suggest anyone having issues may want to turn up tomorrow.

Here's a list of topics brought up by the audience
*Access for disabled, suggestion of wheelchair bays. Also of transport to ground for those and other fragile people.
*A Few complaints about membership and seating (stuff we on SF already know)
*Suggestions for catering at the ground such as improved quality and selection)
- one suggested members only queue's, to encourage membership
*Mention of social media being used to engage fans. LG mentioned would possible be up to doing a monthly Q&A
*People asking for Development money to be spend on ground upgrades, DK noting that money from D'ment will start coming through 2016.
*Mention of journalists, very negative response to one certain News Journo. LG reiterated wanting to work with journo's moving forward
*One individual asked for the Sharks to play a more attacking style footy. Unsurprising response from Flanno Re:changing game, wanting to go back to 2013 style grinding out wins. Holmes got a mention as one player that may provide some class to score points.
*Major sponsor news. They have targets and will commence acting on that in January.

Other Notable points
Andrew Fifita won't play in nines but will help promote.
Some money from the development would be kept for the future, also would still look for government grants for stadium improvements.

Good work little shark.

We have spoken about a members only bar/ food line before sounds like a great idea but
They would have to have photos on all the members passes and would take time checking photos etc

There was talk about access to the club post-game. ie summertime bar

Forgot to mention LG brought up moving games asking for a reaction, was obviously a resounding no.
Apparently we had been approached to move a game (against the warriors) this year but we knocked them back.
DK mentioned that moving games has a financial impact on the leagues club.

The person who brought it up because he's hope attractive footy would help drive membership, TBH I didn't really listen to Flanno's response because it was the same stuff we've all heard before.
Of the three there tonight he was the hardest to listen too, a lot of the same stuff you here post-game. I guess that's just the guy he is.

FMD you run into alot of the players for a bloke living in Taree. My new job has me around the Shire alot and in terms of bumping into players, nudda.
Maybe I gotta hit up the pubs and grog shops more...

Years ago Flanno said the reason for this is that he did not have the quality in the backline and well he wasn't wrong. We now have the best backline we have had in a long time and I think he has been called out on his lack of ability or boldness to coach attacking football and structures.

We look a far better team and ironically better organised and less mistake riddled when the shackles are thrown off and we play free flowing positive football
There were signs of improvement in this regard under Flanno's watch in parts of 2013 but nothing consistent enough to suggest he has a grasp on it or that he has worked out the formula that makes our team fire

We are capable, he just needs to learn how ingrain in out team but perhaps he does not want to

Great idea. Imagine if we could develop a Members area/bar with the same kind if prestige that the cricket grounds do... where the wait list is years.

How about this for a vision:
- 10000 ticketed members seated undercover in expanded ET/PB stands
- 10000 concourse members
- Members bars, eating areas and entertainment on each side of the ground
- 30000 'Sharks Net' Members - amounts to a spot on tge waiting list for seated membership as well as voting rights and support for the Club + discounts etc
- 10000 walkup tickets available at each game
- Tickets in demand weeks before each game
- Tickets resold on stubhub.com or similar if you can't make it that week, Club gets a cut of each resale

Too ambitious?
