If we didn't have the injury problems that we did. He would of got his release. I don't see anything wrong with this. Yes it's harsh but Jono had a contract for the rest of the year to fulfill at Cronulla and they were well within their rights to hold him to it. Even if they weren't willing to extend it. Life of a contract worker.

He shouldn't worry though. He'll get a deal somewhere for sure.
Dead right. He was contracted till the end of the year, and needed till then. It's not like we kept him out of spite.

I don't get how he was needed? Wouldn't you have preferred we looked to the future and gave either Gagan or Feki a run in the centres? What was there to lose?

There's only so much depth to draw upon though.

As it was we were scraping for players and Gagan spent a bit of the season injured anyway.

Still think Gagan and Beale to be centres with Feki and Holmes to be wingers

I don't know, I think we missed an opportunity there. We knew we weren't going to re-sign him and we were bereft of centres at the time, seemed like a no-brainer to me to try Feki or Gagan. Doesn't matter though if we sign Beale.

The more that time drags on without any announcement of signing Beale, the more concerned I am that we've missed the boat.

Yeah, with Nu Brown there definitely is an option to have him running out of dummy half for short bursts with Ennis still on the field, with the stigma involving wrestling these days the ruck might start getting quicker and might be a viable strategy against tiring forwards. But then again, having another impact and workrate prop like D. Fifita or something to play 20 or so minutes is also a thing.

Gagan has played less games than feki on the wing and looked way better in my opinion . Feki doesn't like catching and doesn't place himself in the right position to burrow in and score trys.he will make a great Centre . Of course this is all just my opinion
