I know its not a popular view but I rate Stanley. I think his best position is fullback but he has played half in good form as well. I think its a great signing.

kyle just needs to stay on the field regularly to find consistency. Has loads of potential imo

Stanley for depth is fine, can cover 1-7. But don't want him in firsts unless injuries and poor form occur and he is carving it up in the nsw cup.

Beale is the signing I am most happy about. At last we have a half decent NRL standard centre.

I agree. If this guy gets over his injuries, he could be one of the biggest bargains of the year.

Beale was flying in the early rounds of 2014, thanks largely to the work of Widdop on his inside.

Regardless, i agree with samshark. By far the best we've had pull on the 3/4 shirt in a long time.

It certainly is nice having some depth in the backs. Gone are the days of having Stapo, Ike, J.Williams etc as automatic starters.

This is the first time in a while where I can look at our backline and think "if we get a few injuries, we'd still be fine". The depth is finally there. Bird to 'pinch hit' in the centres when somebody goes down. Plus you've got Holmes, Brown, Samulia and Gards all waiting.

I dont really like the idea of stanley coming. Good talent but with brown obviously waiting in the wings for first grade i dont want anyone here that will push him out.

Robson can have first shot at 7, im cool with that because noone else at the club is ready to be the 7, but brown should be first in line

Stanley's better at 1/3/4 than 6/7 anyway, imo.

I hope flanno rewards form. Otherwise these buys are wasted.

Wasn't there some lighthearted banter a couple of years back over whether or not you were Flanno? lol

Yeah I agree, we don't want guaranteed spots in the lineup. Everyone needs to show why they should be in the team and the best performers in each position should be selected.

Not a hater of flanno.

I think with so much competition for spots, particularly in the backline, I think if we dont reward form then why did we buy a number of centres, wingers and halves? Waste of money.

Its not just about having depth. Its about having some decent centres instead of the abominations we've had to endure the last few years.
Centre is an extremely important position on the field. We've seen plenty of games we've lost directly due Pomeroy and Ashford and Wright not too mention our attack.
Maybe Flannos finally worked that out.

While we are all getting excited at the prospect of these new buys playing for us, we need to remember that with so many new players they are going to take some time to gel. I know we have months of pre-season training and trials to play but I think it's going to take at least 3-4 games in before we start seeing the results we are all hoping for.

I don't think it will take them long to learn our vast array of attacking moves.
