For next year atleast our backs could line up like this. That would be ok considering there aren't really any great centres on the market next year.
Gordon
Feki
Telly
Gagan
Holmes
Like Feki I think Gagan has played more centre than wing.

Gagan has shown more on the wing than feki ,id prefer feki in the centres ahead of Gagan

Thought we re-signed Sopoaga and Arona.

Other news. I hear we are definately securing Takairangi and fuggen Joseph Paulo
I don't know a thing about taka, but in light of who's available, Paulo is an ok pickup isn't he?

Paulo- meh
To me Taka is ok signing can play a bit of centre even 6, then when lewy gal heighton toops all hang up the boots in the next 2 seasons he goes 2nd row. Won't be our worst signing by a long way.

Not a fan of Taka but he is a slight improvement on Jono and I think he does have a future ahead of him in the backrow.

I don't want to sign him but he may be able to improve our backline slightly whilst ensuring we have another young backrower in the squad.

That's as positive as I can get in regards to that signing if it happens.

Paulo for sure...is more than capable.
Im thinking wade has had a hand in this if true. wade and Paulo played all their juniors together and Paulo played his first game for the pennies not that long after wade.
Paulo was ****ed over by a useless coach who used him as a battering ram and the injuries followed.
At parra he was more of a no 6 and was fairly handy with the ball......and more than capable in defence
The ironic thing with these 2 is wade started playing 6 and ended up playing second row.....Paulo started as second row and now mostly plays 6
He would be very handy to have when injuries rise again and has a solid grounding and pedigree ....sign him for sure IMO

I think coming here would be an awful move for Paulo. The Eels have built their attack around what he does at first receiver and he'd be well down the pecking order at the Sharks.

He's a talented player and a really good bloke but he just doesn't fit with what we have. We don't need another back rower who wants to be a half. We need some quality ball runners. And a halfback.

Best case scenario would be he plays as a bench backrower who can cover hooker and the halves. Still have NP idea where he'd get minutes though with everyone fit.

Typical fuggen Sharks signing. As is Taka. He made a half break yesterday and got pulled down by a Manly back rower. Looked like he was running in quicksand.

If memory serves me correctly Paulo made his debut vs us at shark park, I think we lost the game on the bell- jarrod sammut kicked a goal from the sideline.

Good points AB, I think Paulo has more ballplaying ability than any of our forwards so if our current forwards just played as forwards.. But it's not exactly a signing we need.
