Disappointing to see him go, but we can buy two good backs and a hooker for 800k

yeah and plenty of people including myself joked about that, but Jesus to carry on like you're glad he is going and he isn't worth the money like some people ate saying is nothing but pure bitterness
Bull**** he isn't worth 700k or more and if he is going to get that I'm glad it won't be here. Sad to have lost him but thems the breaks.

Ah what hurts more is the fact last year in the Sharks v Dragons game when we won in thr last second was when he pat the sharks.emblem on his jersey showing his dedication.

funny how money talks. I know hes looking out for his family but even with the sharks offer was pretty damn high. Looked like he was trying to squeeze as much money out as possible. Apparently we were 50k less than the doggies.

Agreed. He played pretty **** last night and I put that down to him having a heap on his mind. But if you are going to sign elsewhere that's part of the game and you just have to accept it, but at least put in for the team that's paying your current wage.

I thought 650k was too high for him, so am glad we didn't run too much of our cap on him. Because there is no way he should command more than Carney.

21 runs for 141 meters is pretty poor when prior had 12 runs for 110

**** i said he'd go 140.

Simple fact is any player getting offered 700-900 thousand dollar contracts shouldnt have a game that bad in their repertoire

I'd hate to see fifita go, but if he keeps playing like he did last night the digs can have him in time for next weeks game.

I know the media 99% of the time are full of ****, and 1 report has said we offered 50k below the dogs offer. But all along we had heard we were very close to the dogs offer and our offer was our biggest in our history so it probably isn't too far off the mark.

Anyway that being the case, it's pretty sad to see after all his tries and wins where he kisses our emblem on his jersey showing his love for the club, to see him walk out anyway.

In regards to his play the ball, Fifita should be penalised for every single one of his. When was the last time you saw his foot connect with the ball? He simply rolls it under his feet like he is playing tunnel ball. He did have an off game last night, but hell even Inglis has off games. The titans sprinted off their defensive line last (and were offside ALOT of times which went unnoticed) and cut down our forwards before they could get any speed up which stopped the usual momentum we get running our forwards all day. Whether Fifita is worth the amount of coin he is getting or not, I think he is not your standard front rower, he can ball play, he has some pace, he offload at will, he can and does create something out of nothing. For these reasons he is worth more than your standard front rower, but I still wouldn't give him more than say 500-600k.

I said it a few weeks ago when all this speculation started, I don't want him here if we're paying more than 600k. We should now be throwing the kitchen sink at Mullen who is off contract at the end of this year.

This is how the Roosters managed to get so many stars under their cap. I wouldn't chase Mullen, he is always injured and we already have an injury prone half in Carney.

just felt like fifita did not want to be out there and all that was on his mind was the massive pay packet he will be getting in 2015. I dont want to lose him but if he isnt going to give it 100% for us we need to give someone else a go

I think the market will be wrong on this one.

There was no pressure on him to perform last year and I think that changes when you're on +700k, can he handle that pressure week-in, week-out? Not worth the risk imo for a forward who has had one good year. I would only take that risk on a gun 1,6, 7 or 9.

I may be wrong but I think we've dodged a bullet here, I really do.
