I don't see the chairman doing it

That's what makes it even worse... the Chairman should be the ONE & ONLY spokesperson of the Board. No other Board member should be making any comment in any forum other than the official spokesperson for the Board, the Chairman.

Show us the posts Fitz, where's the links. Hard to criticise something I don't know about.

How come you and shark only ever come on here now when the subject turns to the current and former boards? Don't you like talking footy?

In the guys defense, if I was on the board and saw that crap floating around on a popular Sharks fan page I'd also want to debunk it.

The conversations I've had indicate that the original post is not crap at all.

There's also some conversations going around that the returns on the development deal will not be quite as good as made out.

The players appear to have responded well under this regime, turning the corner and winning games. Maybe they feel like they now have the boards full support. A united club can only be a good thing.

Lost at sea.
Well they've stood pretty strong through the hardest days the club has seen. And we are still in the comp. and we have no players suspended. And they are still bringing in minor and possible major sponsors even though we have the most tarnished name in the league.

you cannot use that, thats like me saying im possibly going to win the lotto tonight.

They've been in for what, 3 months? fair suck of the sav, give them time... they would still be festering through the cluster **** of ASADA which the old board left them.

judge them in 6 months time if we are still in the same position

I really don't see the issue with the Board, particularly the Chairman, communicating through social media.

It’s fair game to criticise what they may say, but what is the problem withthem communicating directly with members and fans?

He has defended our club and board against people criticizing them unfairly. Big deal. I hope our chairman never plays into these bull**** facebook comments. BUt As a result I beleive his comments and think the original post is bull****. What have you heard fitz??

You always are critical of the new board. You are a person of influence on this site and yet you seem to try to influence division through being forever critical of the current board. Let it go. Irvine is gone as is douglas.

We are playing decent footy. We have a top tier management team and structure thats getting things done. In particular signing of sponsors and retaining Carney. We are no longer fighting the salary cap drama of the old board and taking the fine. In turn that issue has dissappeared out of the papers. Smart move.

I'm happy enough to give these guys a crack at it, I have some concerns about how they got themselves into power but they are there now so let's hope they deliver.

I won't cop their minions taking pot shots at Douglas, Irvine & co unfairly though. There's a few social media henchmen out there, they will ultimately do their mates on the new board more harm than good.

The really unfortunate thing is the timing of the election and the outdated constitutional rules that allow for complete replacement of a board in one go. Sadly, Douglas had done a mountain of work on constitutional reform, that was to have been rolled out this year, now that the development had been passed.

As for electioneering on the 'Reinstatement of The 4'...come on you lot, it was as clear as day they were using that as a PROMISE, a CORE promise and it bloody well worked. I know 'the fine print' was that they promised 'a legal review' but that's not what the pissed-up masses on the hill heard. It's not what very good mates of 'The 4' were telling people from one end of the shire to the other. The punters didn't give a **** about the fine print, they never do. So, I'm happy for your boys to enjoy their moment in the sun and I'll eat my words if they come good and do a better job than the last board, but don't insult our collective intelligence by suggesting they haven't broken a promise, morally at least, by not reinstating the sacked blokes.

I didn't say they had not promised it, my point is that 90% of voters couldn't care less about the sacked four. Certainly didn't make a difference to my vote
