You can split a ticket dylan. You don't have to include everyone from a ticket as long as you vote for 8 directors in total.

If you want to vote Vision you have to choose 3 others from the ballot. You could for example take 2 off McGaw's ticket and one independent.

Lost at sea.
Yeah I get that, but more so, who will work well with who in?! Say I pick the whole vision ticket. Then who will best for the other 3 positions for best cohesion on the board?

I think that Vision and Unity are going to have to work together. I think we are going to end up with a split of both.

I sincerely hope they can move past this rubbish and do what is best for the club and the supporters.

So, Dunphy is no longer on the Unity ticket.

Has he pulled out of the election altogether or just disassociated himself with that ticket?

I've heard conflicting reports.

This was in the Herald re the Unity Ticket

"Given that at best, only six of their eight candidates can make the board , former Shimano boss John Dunphy and Blue Ocean Equities executive Paul McCarthy have urged voters to overlook them in favour of other candidates on the ticket."

^Thanks.

I think a lot of people saw Dunphy as the strongest candidate on that ticket and will probably vote for him anyway. I wonder if his heart is really in it, or if it ever really was.

I guess we'll see how it pans out. I don't know any of these people so it's pretty tough trying to make a judgement.

Real gym junkies

A press release about steroid use from Sami Chamoun piqued our interest when it landed on our desk recently. Initially we thought it was from the sponsor at the centre of the NRL's investigation into allegations Cronulla breached their salary cap with under-the-table payments. However, further investigation found that the Sami Chamoun of Serious Supplements fame is a different person altogether.

Nevertheless, the findings of his survey of 279 gym-goers is interesting reading. More than half of respondents believe elite athletes are on steroids, while a quarter admitted to steroid or peptide use in the past 12 months.

''Athletes have long set the cultural tone for what it means to be an 'Australian man' and the growing list of heavily muscled sports stars with washboard abs, who have admitted drug use, are clearly influencing muscle-building behaviours,'' he said. The other Sami Chamoun - the boss of of E Group Security - is suing the Sharks for terminating his security company's contract with two years left to run.

Thanks - phew!

Don't phew too soon. The E-Group Chamoud has been linked to Unity.

I've heard more too but unfortunately can't say.

I will say I won't be voting for anybody from Unity. Not in a million, trillion, ubergadzillion years.

I'll vote for Cobb before any of them

With the amount of free publicity the Telegraph has given them, I can't see them missing out.

There is no such thing as a free lunch.

Interesting to see Rothfield carousing with the other "Unity" boys at Caringbah Inn on Saturday arvo.

Anyone here that Rothfield is dropping his nickname of Buzz, wants to be now known as "Silky" as as in Silky Terrier cause he really is a lap dog of the Unity Group.
