Alright guys, I just updated it.
- Now includes Porter (I had his data but for some reason didn't add it at first, must have cut it off)
- The conditional formatting has changed so that for every row Green = good, Red = bad, white = average
- Now includes try assists
- I removed the word 'average' from the headings as it made it harder to read.

reaffirms why I was so against having smith in the team over porter although neither were going to do much to worry the other teams.

Yeah, I think Smith was chosen because of an apparent attacking x-factor, but look at all that red man. He offered nothing. He's the anti-Carney.

At least Porter could kick long, and could do good attacking kicks. I mean look at his try assist stats compared to Tim Smith's. In fact add Smith's tries and try assists together and you're still not at Porter's try assists.

One thing is for sure, the left half is a lot greener than the right so our team is definitely moving in the right direction with regards to halves.

Even the Robson/Chad debate is more about who is ideal than one being poor. They're both decent. It'd be good to have them both in the same team.

Yeah that seems to be his only obvious weakness, not a bad halves partner to make up for that though.

He needs to work on his long kicking. Floats the ball through the air too often.

His running will never be a strength. He'll do his damage backing up and sniping from close to the tryline, not slicing through the ruck.

Yeah there is only one half that has played for us in my memory that has been able to kick long and not seem to kick it straight up and that's todd. It's remarkable how he kicks so long without giving the back 3 a chance to get to it on the full on most occasions due to the height he kicks it at. Actually noddy has to be included aswell.

Robbo is a useless long kicker, his balls go higher than they do long but he makes up for it with a great short kicking game which has obviously been effective in building pressure.

Chad is imo is much better than robbo with his long kicking and height he kicks the ball at but can produce a bit of a mixture.

Surprised to see Barrett faired so poorly.

No surprise about Carney though. Good thread.

Shows that we should persevere with Chad and pair him up with Carney for the 2013 season.
Totally agree , though robbo's stats aren't bad.

Yeah I got that data and made the thread to hopefully get a somewhat more technical discussion going about our halves options.

Looking at the strengths, it's clear that Chad is the best kicker and clear second best try assist. Those try assists come off kicks mostly as well, and he isn't shabby for individual tries, and is surprisingly the best defensive half out of all 6!

Robson's strengths would work very well as an impact hooker. Line breaks closer to the ruck and close to the try line (this isn't a stat, just an opinion from memory) and repeat sets through grubbers are things I like in a hooker.

My thoughts exactly MB , i think morris shouldn't be re-signed ,move robbo to hooker with degois and have chad and Todd in the halves.

I am warming to this idea for 2013 providing Chad is up to the task. Robbo will be a far better utility half/hooker than Morris
