- Line speed is terrible

and our lack of numbers in a tackle.

Service from dummy half has been poor of late, how can you get a decent kick away on the 5th when the pass is high and away from you.

bit late on posting since the game, mainly due to how terrible we were.

never have i ever left a sharks game early but we left with 20 minutes to go to get to the pub to save us from buying $8 drinks at the ground, because there really was no other option than to just get blind.

disappointing results the past few weeks - I mean I actually had us losing to the Dragons, Broncos and Cowboys but still winning the other games, and not getting beaten by more than 10 - and we'd still make the eight. it's such a shame that we let the dragons put so many points on us because it obviously belted our confidence - we were lackluster against the Knights and even worse against Brisbane.

i feel sorry for the players, i know they don't make the mistakes on purpose - we are a young side and as i repeated myself over and over on Friday night to broncos fans is that we are the broncos of 09/10 - alot of youngsters coming through and hopefully in the next two years we can be sitting in the top four and belting teams like the broncos did to us

I go along with you Josh, except it was our left side defence that was leaking all of the first half, when the damage was done. That was Toops, Best and Hot dog. Stapo was safe, except for that under ten effort when they scored in the right side in the first half. Wright was good in that first half and in fact had that try covered being around the players legs. If Stapo went for the ball (and he had the opportunity) maybe that would not have been scored (not that its made a difference).

If Stapo went for the ball and Reed passed it his winger (watch the Broncos first try fom the last time we played them) you'd be bagging Stapo for coming off his winger. Wright missed a very easy tackle thet he should have made and Stapleton gets the blame.

Plus, Wade Graham was just as bad as those other three on the left.

LOL, I am not really seriously bagging Stapo.

I was right there, could almost reach out and put my hands under that ball. FFS. Am probably more pissed off I didn't. lol

My only issue about that try was this. I know it looked very different on TV, Angles etc do that, but being there, on the spot, I think he should have gone for the ball and all. Wright missed but got his legs. It would have been a miracle to get a pass away on the line and besides, same diff. A try. By the time the try was being scored, Stapo was practically standing next to him.

I repeat, it is not a shot at Stapo, it is an observation. Could I have done better. **** no, Id still be standing at the half way line sucking the big ones having watched everyone run past me.

Now aside from that one little blemish that had no bearing on the game, and may have ended up a try no matter what he did, Stapo is going good and I like him. OK everyone? have I cleared that up????

If it makes you feel better I would have been keeping you company back on halfway.

watching the game on fox at the moment. It has just gone half time. Our defence on our left side was atrocious. Almost let any one go through the line. Best is normally very solid but boy, having a shocker. Snowden has been strong coming on from the bench, and he goes better in the second half. Douglas has under performed so far. Jeremy Smith has been strong, playing well. But boy so far, very painful to watch

there is a great shot of AS standing with his arms wide in all his glory, I think it was when we scored just after half time....then he went dreadlock hunting

TT has played strong coming off the bench. Our bench out performed our starters, but i question Pomeroy taking a spot, if he was used as a second rower and brought on at various parts of the game, maybe but bringing him on at the 66th minute is a bit of a waste of a bench spot in my opinion. I believe Mannah would have been a better option.

Just the way the game went AS. If we're in the game with 25 to go it may have had an impact bringing Pom on in the back row. As it was it was handy to be able to give Best the hook. I'm happy to see Pom go down to NSW CUp, or play off the bench, or play left centre, but I'd prefer if he didn't play right centre again.

Flano is right about one thing. We don't deserve to be in the finals. Making the 8 will show what a farce the top 8 is but I'm not confident we will win all our remaining games and with a good enough For & Against to make it anyway. Year after year we dish up this crap against quality opposition.

Snowy and Smith had their best games in a while. Graham/Townsend nice combo with grubber try. And the other try we worked to the right was good.

Taga looks to be enjoying more minutes but think we need to keep him as impact player when other players come back.

No comment on defence - a white picket fence would have been more a barrier.

Gards kicking the ball back on the volley was hilerious considering he almost made it work. It was quite Peachy like in it's care-free impulsive nature. In Gards case I think it was more out of frustration but it was great that despite missing the tackle he turned and chased and then was palmed off, landing on his arse. Just made me laugh while also warming my heart! What a courageous little player! Commentators were saying they hadn't seen anything like it in a long time and that Gards is going to be a star!

Was quite suprised Fatty wasn't putting the knife into the Sharks, he did say we were woeful in first half but that was spot on and fair. Commentary team gave us a few positives in the second half. Can't believe they were saying we are still a chance for top 8 actually - maybe they feel sorry for us. I don't with an attitude like that one on display. I don't want the Sharks to be once again known as "the bye".

Pommeroy from the bench LOL:drunk

And we should have kept Tautai instead of signing Taufua. Anyone who says different has no clue. He can play anywhere in the pack, he's mobile, has good footwork, great upper body strength and great leg drive. Yes he has the odd error in his game, but so does Gal.

Couldn't agree more. I have probably been one of tautais biggest fans and have been trying to stand up for him whenever anyone calls him **** as it isn't true. He makes metres at ease, likes to defend and is always calling for the ball.

At the end of last year he was one of our better players when he was starting in the backrow and then I saw him in the NSW cup at the start of the year playing at lock and he was a step above everyone. Now he has come into 1st grade and has only had one dissapointing game against newy but even then he was running the ball well and looking dangerous and the only reason he made the mistakes was because he was trying too hard.

I thought the game was testament to Jeremy Smith's professionalism.

Its pretty hard for a backrower who doesn't really ballplay to win a game for his team- especially when the rest were as utterly ****house as they were on Friday night.

But Smith didn't let his personal standards drop. He played to the last minute and scored a try, made a steal in the second half, tackled hard for the 80- which is his job in a nutshell. Hopefully the rest will see that and learn, especially the young blokes.
