They said Morris is their defensive coach!
Which would make Farah the attacking coach I spose. Where was this kind of defense when Morris coached the Sharks?
Shows how poor the Sharks players were attitude wise and how little respect they showed John Morris as the head coach but that as an assistant with someone else being the head coach/manager how effective and suited Morris is.
I say this because it was Phil Gould I think (who would know with his experience and currently being at a cellar dweller club) that said something along the lines of the hardest part of being mediocre or not having the right staff is getting players to have the appropriate attitude
consistently week to week not just a flash in the pan.
And this was why the Tigers and Titans ect have been so so weak for so long, it wasn't really their squad, it was the poor attitude coming from the players in general and it is reflected big time when it comes to how they defend as individuals and a team.
I didn't think much chop as Benji as a choice of coach at this stage of his career (coaching wise) but credit where it's due maybe he has worked some magic on the culture and attitude and unlocked the inherit abilities at that club that have laid dormant and only occasionally reared their head.
Maybe you guys could just wait for
@Blue_Eyes84 to clear it up for you both?
Obviously no gave you the talk on how to Internet
I do think if we are picking a back for the 17 jersey whether Atkinson has the jump on Iro is a good question, think everyone in here would say they would pick Iro though.
Iro doesn't make sense to me as a 17, hes an outside back starter unless you want him as injury cover which seems kinda a waste when it's at the expense of another forward or utility type player.
As for Talakai, the more I see him play out of his regular centre position the more I am convinced centre is the only viable position for him anymore.
Despite some early promise shown in the forwards when he came to the Sharks since then he has been underwhelming, poor, mixed/bag, inconsistent in the forwards and fair enough, it's not his regular position.
On the other hand he has regularly been a force in the centres, even from just a meter eating perspective. If we really wanted to slot Iro in at centre and move Talakai back to the forwards I think Sifa would need a proper pre-season there and more than a handful of games to become consistently effective otherwise perhaps we should just leave it alone and take our chances on Iro moving on.
There's still more to come from Sifa in the centres for a number of years and I don't see Iro being able to offer what Sifa does ball in hand.
Our wings are locked down rightly so and on the other side Ramien is finally relising his full potential.
