Not sure why all this heat is on Demetriou for dropping Ilias.
Ilias is good but not great and there may be some parts of his game that Demetriou has asked him to work on but hasn’t developed after the first 2 rounds.

See a trend? Rabbitohs needed to find the money to keep him, Ilias wasn't ready. Ilias may have only ever been intended as the bridge to Hawkins but seeing as he still hasn't won the spot outright it is a fairly big bridge. Hawkins gets a chance to win it outright now.
Kind of unfair to Ilias he is out before their star recruit plays a game, Hawkins gets to come in with him.

There is good wraps on Bud Sullivan but maybe not quite ready yet (a year younger again than Ilias). Two years of Chad could be a good bridge.
Same for Chad to bridge Souths into Jye Gray perhaps.
He'd get half or less what he is on with Cows but still good money for him.
Don't think anyone would be signing him for a perfect kicking game even before last round

We've seen Hastings play competently in 13 at Tigers so not sure why he couldn't play 6 if AOB felt Cogger needed to play 7.
