nrl physio said he expects a 4-6 week recovery for his knee injury, ruled out acl

this was hard to track down as he blocked me for asking a question about head gear
Yeah he said that on his podcast (The Magic Sponge)... said ACL unlikely, but could be another one of the knee ligaments (MCL/PCL) or meniscus issue.

Why was it so hard to track down, it's less than 10 posts up
Also I assume he blocked you on twitter but you could probably check his facebook pretty easily?
And he has a podcast too

I'd be more surprised if it was MCL than (very minor, but still problematic) ACL sprain, but then he def knows more than me.
Meniscus definitely the safe bet.

Not sure if a very minor ACL injury can be diagnosed with hands on testing.

Was the question "how far up your date could you shove headgear?"

That's a shame. Rugby League can be a cruel game sometimes.

I hope Colquhoun can come in and perform well. He's got the size to break through the edges.

Pilot Medical Update – Teig Wilton

Sharks backrower Teig Wilton is set to miss the remainder of the 2023 season after suffering a knee injury in the game against the Warriors on Sunday.

Wilton was replaced in the first half of the game played at Go Media Stadium in Auckland, with subsequent scans revealing a meniscus tear.

Wilton underwent knee surgery yesterday (Wednesday), with the recovery period of 12-16 weeks, effectively ruling him out for the Sharks remaining games in 2023.

The injury comes as a blow to the young forward who recently re-signed with the Cronulla club for a further two seasons.

In other Sharks injury news, Braden Hamlin-Uele was unavailable for the game this weekend as he continues his recovery from a low-grade lower leg problem, while Wade Graham has been rested in an effort to overcome some niggling injury issues.

It is hoped both players will be available for selection for the Sharks round 22 match against the Panthers.

In relation to Royce Hunt, the Sharks prop was this week named on an extended bench by coach Craig Fitzgibbon, with his status to be made known closer to the game on Sunday. Hunt has been sidelined since rupturing his syndesmosis in a round 15 match against the Melbourne Storm.

This Sharks medical update is brought to you by Pilot, Australia’s biggest men’s healthcare startup.
