He's probably looking for starting spot money but i'm not sure props care too much if off the bench or starting if there minutes are good and the money is good ? Could be wrong

Defn want to get him though, got lots of potential and not even close to realising it. Panthers wont be able to keep him.
I think it would be more important for a guy coming in.

I think Rudolf/Hunt/BHU would all like to start but would be pretty happy to play whatever their role is in the side at that time.
But I could imagine a young guy like Leniu signing because he wants to be your starter (and wants the money) but then still not being up to scratch (like he isn't with Penrith) and getting bitchy about it

Ben Hunt rejects latest Dragons offer, Hunt 2024🤔
Wayne should be on the buzzer, has the money to spend to take on his full 2023 contract to try and get him squirming for a return to Qld for 'family reasons'

Tough for us to give Hynes the run of the show for two years then demote him to 6 for a 34 year old

Only way I'd sign Hunt is if he agreed to play hooker. But can't see that happening.

The story about Brown not being required next year has been around for quite a while now. Interesting that there hasn't been any rumours about any links to other clubs (that I've heard anyway). Makes you think that he's not seen as being very good value... probably related to his pricetag.
The thing is the clubs that should be making a play for him are dumb. They would rather have 4 Saifiti brothers or whatever but still get rolled through the middle cause they have no mobility.

He's definitely not damaged goods or anything, BA is a good coach so he picks players on their role in the team rather than just throwing in 5 samey middles with random minutes like St George have done for the past 5 years for example. Brown just fell behind Matterson for the big minute role in the middle, Parra are stacked with props and have Niukore for the 2nd rower impact role.

That said he definitely doesn't fit us. We already have Finucane and McInnes that do the exact same thing.

Similarly, picking up Leniu to play outside his role at Panthers seems real low percentage. We need a starter that can set the tone, not some fella to make 5 tackles in 25 minutes and make 15 hitups with Koroisau tearing them up.

I did bring this up a couple of weeks ago. He’s got 1 more year at parra so you would think they would gladly chip in for him. I’d take him on a 2 year with parra chucking in around 300k for his first year. He’s still got some good footy in him. Would be a good signing IMO.
We are in the minority hear but I agree he is worth a look especially at the numbers you mention ..

The sombrero is in full swing there. There’s no way he goes there. They already got suialli and Tedesco playing fullback with manu also wanting to play there. RTS ain’t going anywhere to play on the wing. Bullshit story if you ask me.
Why the heck is Manu still there, seriously. Roosters not having a salary cap is just blatant.

Funny thing is I was told we had discussions with Hunt about 18 months ago.
Dragons would only put in for this year as next was a players option so we moved on.

I'd take $700k to be a Chook over a $1m to be a Titan, Tiger, Warrior etc.
I mean for most players I agree, but he's legit good enough to boost a **** team. He breaks like 15 tackles a game when he gets his hand on the ball more. He should back himself and take the pay day if he is actually not getting under the table cash from the chooks.

People wanted to do it while he was playing well enough to win it so why would they stop wanting to move him now.

Think of how good he could be if he touched the ball less!

It's amazing how Nicho could succeed with the worst service and decision making in the league coming from dummy half. If we had Mahoney, Nicho probably would have polled 72 points.
I know right, we could even be in the grand final this week

We'd be in the GF if we had a better hooker?
That’s right HB. The club and coach see Brailey as our long term 9, and Ennis rates him highly, but in fact he has the worst service and decision making of any 9 in the comp. Who would have thought.
