I don't think many were mad for picking Fitz, more for the way the situation was handled. I thought it was a massive risk at the time going for another rookie coach, and was happy for it as long as the board was accountable one way or another. Looking back, they should be accountable for their fantastic decision and receive all the necessary adulation.

Massive credit to everyone involved. Fitz really has been the revelation we needed.
It wasnt handled badly

2 teams have sacked their coach this year, why was our worse? Because some derricks said it was?

Get the **** out.

Im not missing anything, you lot of sooks had a sook and now need to pipe down and get the egg off your face
So an admission that my original view was wrong isn’t enough? What else do you want?
My first born?

Just because someone has a different view to you (in general) doesn’t mean they are stupid.

FMD mate seriously get over yourself

There wasn’t much wrong with how it was handled and Morris certainly wasn’t hard done by
Exactly this. Firing a coach is never nice, it’s a business and was the right call. Don’t see how they could have done to better

They didn’t fire Morris though did they? Just decided not to renew his contract.

Edit: Nah forget that, he was sacked five games in, my bad.

I really liked what Morris was able to do, but I don't think he would have pulled Nicho and Dale. Those two have probably done as much as anyone to put the steel back into our defence.

So all things considered, you'd have to say the ends justified the means.

While I don’t think so either he already had Cam and that would have helped. He may have.

He did a good job for us given the circumstances, but those in the know at the club gambled on a different option and seem to have had a good hit.

Cams great but Dale... The blokes ona mother level. Maybe Morris gets him but you'd think pretty unlikely

Yeah but at the same time Cam was an unlikely signing too so you never know

Lot of things may or may not have been different, we’re in a good spot through.

The play out through the media was definitely bad. We had Morris fronting the board speaking about how he was confident of keeping his job when the decision was already made. I don't know why you get so upset when other people were wrong, it's not like anyones still beating the drum. Humble pie has been eaten and we've all moved on. Time for you too as well.
