Part of coaching is teaching the rules. For u15 and down, that includes the rules that there is no lifting, any contact above the armpits is a high tackle, and you can’t jersey sling, or ankle tap. I can tell you for sure and certain that most players we play against either don’t know this, or flat out ignore it - and I reckon the amount of parents who know these rules (outside of my own team) is less than 5%.
My team don’t have perfect technique, and tackle high sometimes - but they don’t lift, they don’t jersey sling, and they all know that those things are not acceptable either at training or in games. Worst thing we’ve done in a tackle all year is grab a kid’s foot and lift it - but it was pinged straight away
