It’ll be Storm with no origin players wont it?

And Cowboys will have players backing up?

The storm's backline is already majorly disrupted, could be an interesting game if we don't let their middle roll over the top of us.

I called out Burton. His energy was nowhere near what it was during Origin. ;)

Not sure they ever showed replay, who gave away the escort penalty in the first half when we were under the pump

So after Melbourne's loss on Thursday, we're actually the 3rd best defensive team in the comp apparently...

Just got back from the game.

It took almost 2 hours to get back to the Shire after driving in some of the most terrifying and scary weather conditions I’ve ever witnessed. Rain continually pouring on my windscreen in torrents, bumper to bumper traffic with water cascading over the road, it was truly a nightmare.

Now most of you commentating in the game day thread probably weren’t at the ground, let me tell you the rain did not let up for the entire game and it was heavy throughout. No ground, no matter how good the drainage, could ever hold up under that barrage.

How anyone can criticise any of those 34 players out there in those conditions is beyond me. We had to continually defend towards the end of that first half and to concede on halftime, yes, was extremely disappointing. Refereeing was not on a great level but in the end we did well to only concede one try in that last 10-15 mins.

Second half we handled much better and came away with a deserved win. Yes we made errors, yes we played dumb sometimes but you can’t fault the effort and commitment of the guys out there.

Let’s take the two points and move on.

Good opportunity to beat the Storm without their Origin players.

3 wins in a row now and some of you blokes still want to keep whinging.

Well said. Though you know we are an emotional lot!

Went to the game - best ground to watch footy at.
Our second half was worlds apart from our first from what I could see. Gave the dogs alot of easy good ball in the first half. In saying that I thought our D was great all game. Tough win.

Our abysmal kicking game from say within 30m continues to be a massive issue. Some truly horrible kicks from our halves yet again.

Took us maybe 15 mins to get out of the carpark next to the ground but the drive home wasn't too bad, I live a bit closer to the ground than you though.

I must say, it's an absolute pleasure going to that ground. Chalk and cheese going to a rainy game there compared to a suburban ground like Shark Park.

Also my 7 year old's first game and he loved it. Cheering and screaming all game, really into it. About the best I could have hoped for.

Regarding the new Parra Stadium: I went there for A-League derby last year, definitely top notch, wish I could of been there tonight, I usually go to the games out here in Western Sydney, especially Penrith seeing as the ground is 5 minutes away, but was busy finishing the new babies room in anticipation for her arrival next week.

I rate it, fantastic place to watch footy. Maybe some question marks over the drainage but that was a **** tonne of rain.

Taking you this long to take your kid to the game?

I’ve got a 4 week old and already lining up a game this year 😜
