His 50/50 calls were based off the touch judge

He also made some superb calls, like Flanno walking off the mark to play the ball, calling a no try when kennedy got pushed

I dont know how anyone could come away from that game and blame Ashley Klein, he reffed it superbly
I think his crucial desicions were OK - it's the randomness of the six agains that gets me.

Fitz very rarely complains but he even said in the presser that not many decisions went our way.

I don't mind so much in a game where we are clearly the classier side.

Adds to our mettle.

Better for the improvement of the team to have a tough fought victory than a training run.

The only way you’re going to get any consistency with refereeing is if the same person referees every game.

Not going to happen.
I meant the same ref being inconsistent in the same game.

If they call them fairly I don’t really care but they nearly always favour one team then try to square it up to some degree once the damage has already been done

But do you honestly think they do it on purpose?

I do believe they aren’t coached well. They are coached to be politically correct and are in fear of making mistakes.

But in trying to achieve game management they actually come out worse.

I think the real core of the problem is that anyone who wants to be a referee must be mentally ill.

Therefore we only end up with mentally ill referees.
I don't actually think this.

It's a tough gig and good luck to anyone who wants to take it on.

Thats every ref. Thats why its a **** rule
Case in point in the Dragons game. Blatant penalty at the death and Raiders get a six again 10 out and right in front - with 5 seconds to go and down by 2.

No but because there appears to be no scrutiny over 6 agains they can just keep giving them (or not) and no one can say a thing.
