Flanno surely ends up at one of the three. But the word is Fittler will end up at the dogs with his old mate Gus.

Think Flanno could be a good fit at Tigers.

Dogs he’d have to know him and Gus are 100% on same page. If Flanju loses the 7 before Flanno takes over big issue as that kids already had so many chances you don’t want nepotism to be one of them.

Warriors are a basket case - leadership the likes of SJ and AFB… at least Walker is on his way. The whole NZ system needs a massive turn around to give more better opportunities to young kiwi kids. If 8-9 of the most promising 10 for each position see more opportunity in Aus and leave you need to be keeping the absolute best 1-2 and they don’t seem to be. Need to figure out how to make a junior system that is attractive to stay in and looks like it presents opportunities to more kids.
Don’t think they are in a position NZ2 makes any sense although doubling the local NRL opportunities actually probably would help both, if it means the best 3-4 kids for each position are staying in NZ instead of leaving

Unlocking Warriors potential is a mystery wrapped in enigma. They've come close a few times, but have fallen short.

Once they do, they will be unstoppable.

But in saying that, could be another 25yrs

The forward pack is what what would excited Flanno i reckon. There's some serious potential there

Fonua-Blake, Curran, Harris, Barnett, Niukore, Katoa, Murchie, walker. There is a solid few there they can build around.
really wish they kept lodge tbh. he was good for them.

Then you look at the backline and halves and most would be lucky to make any other NRL sides and yet the NRL is littered with outside backs from NZ who are fantastic.

Stacey perhaps the outlier but Warriors have often struggled to have a proper 7.
Apparently CHT is one but they’ve broken him and he’s not even going to play next year.

I wonder how much of this current s**t show is really anyone's fault or just down to circumstance. It wasn't that long ago we weren't sure there'd even be a Warriors team to play through Covid. I don't think we should underestimate how tough this is on every part of the organisation. I mean, they were desperate enough to resign SJ. Damn.

It's not like they were putting up consistently competitive results before covid though
2021 12th
2020 10th

2019 10th
2018 8th
2017 13th
2016 10th
2015 13th
2014 9th
2013 11th
2012 14th

Had a decent spell before that but the current decade of mediocrity didn't start with covid and based on current signs doesn't end by getting back to NZ either.

You've just made a lot of Tigers fans jealous!

Red wedding for coaches today.

Hopefully a few key tigers are keen to jump ship. Wouldn't mind Doeuhi or Hastings making their way to us.

Please and thank you. I was just looking at those available to chat from November.
I'm not so kind, I'm taking their fully contracted players haha.
Utoikamanu you keen?

Hastings would be a devastating loss for them, only thing keeping them off the spoon and even then if it wasn't for the bye they'd probably be in 15th

No-one will leave. There's always speculation that ends in players staying.

Yeah Stefano would look good in our pack. No point in them rushing Douehi back now from his ACL. May as well let him recover for the year.

Yes and no. I don't think players will be itching to get out of contracts or backflip, but if the club is heading towards a turbulent period, or they hire a **** coach, players will definitely look elsewhere when their contracts allow.

Has there ever been a time where 3 coaches have been sacked in the space of 3 weeks?

Actually what’s the record for most coaches sacked in a year? Surely this year is up there.

This is insane. Holbrook is next!

4 coaches were replaced in both 2020 and 2014.

Realistically Holbrook or AOB could both go still and Sticky was in with them a month ago
