Played well enough to give Fitz a selection headache and thats what we needed from him. Great competition for places means a much less chance of players becoming complacent and lazy. If there’s one trait that has smashed its way into this football club since around 2017-18, its complacency and laziness. Any measures taken to stamp that disgraceful attitude out is an immeasurably great thing for the club.

Matt doesn't look like much but is strong and is going well for us. I wouldn't be so sure to say he is 3rd choice winger behind Ronnie

I reckon Ikuvalu has superior involvement and about even or maybe little better on line breaking ability , possibly better defense too. Ronnie maybe with the advantage in the air, less errors? more passion, likeable character ect etc.

So I ask what does Ronnie do better than Ikuvalu on the field or too early to fairly judge ?

I like Ronnie’s passion but I don’t necessarily think he should be a walk up starter if Ikuvalu keeps producing games like he has for us!

Possible 6-8 weeks with Syndesmosis injury
Pretty tough to play the game out with that, awaiting results from scans

We're not getting a break at the moment with injuries.
Guess thats Ronnie back to wing, Talaki to centre, Wilton to 2nd row this week VS Knights.

Very sad to hear. Never heard of this before so I looked it up for the curious.

Not sure if serious? Syndesmosis seems to get mentioned by commentators almost every game these days.

Short version is that the ankle syndesmosis is four separate ligaments which stablize the ankle. When you have a "syndesmosis injury" it means that you have torn or ruptured one of more of these ligaments, and you will lose strength, stability and mobility in the ankle joint. It can make running impossible, walking very painful.

You're welcome.

Signed - bloke who has had both ankles reconstructed in the last 2.5 years.

That’s very tough. They actually hurt and limit a lot of movement. For him to have the game he did after that is very impressive.

Adrenaline's a hella-a-va drug

But yea alot of players toughing it out for our team, Tracey as well, players not wanting to come off and still giving 100% despite injury. I know footy players are tough but good signs of commitment and attitude regardless, all the players wanna be involved with the match and stay involved

As long as it doesn't go too far and they make an injury worse by being left on to go nutz but I am glad Ika kept going on Thursday, had some good moments for us

That was early in the game too. Tough fella.

That sucks so much, having a fantastic game then this happens. He’ll bounce back.

Surely we can do better tan Talakai at centre. What about the second grade centres? Thats how it used to work?

He said in post interview that he had an injection at half time. I am guessing that helped.
