Yep, breakeven is 15k for memory but capacity for this game was set at 11k (Which they reached).
Obviously there are some things the club can do to improve on that. Understaffing is a big no no. That is an easy fix, so is opening up both sides outlets.
Hopefully they recognise that and fix that for next game.
Maybe bombard the club with those suggestions so they do something about it.
I do recall several numbers thrown around between 10-13 k over the numerous of years. dependant on the day and person you spoke to

Email to members from Dino this evening:

Dear Valued Member,

Firstly, thank you for attending last night’s first home game back at PointsBet Stadium after two seasons, where we all witnessed our Sharks record a nail-biting victory over the Eels.

We write to you today to acknowledge shortcomings experienced by some in attendance last night. We want you to know that we recognise your experience may have been far from satisfactory for what both we and you expect as our most valued customers.

The lengthy wait times and access to the Food & Beverage outlets was a major challenge, one that we have recognised and can assure you that a review, along with preparation and planning for our next home game, has already commenced. Unfortunately, we had a number of staffing shortages as a result of COVID, and while by no means are we looking for excuses, this did impact our member servicing standards. Additionally, there were some issues with general admission ticket holders being given access to what is meant to be an exclusive member only bar. We apologise for this and in our review will determine how this occurred and importantly make sure it is fixed ahead of the next home game.

We saw your frustration, heard and listened to how you were inconvenienced, and we will work overtime to achieve a far greater game day experience for you.

We appreciate your patience as we work through these teething problems and thank you for your continued support and understanding. After last night’s match, I think we all agree that coming home to PointsBet was the right decision. The atmosphere and home crowd support was amazing and I know the players fed off this energy and excitement, making for a game no one will forget for a long time to come.

Thank you again for your support of the Sharks, for coming to the game last night and for sticking by us. We truly value your support and feedback and look forward to seeing you on 1st April back at PointsBet.

Regards,
Dino Mezzatesta

Good to see Dino come out quickly and be on the front foot with this.
I’d expect that things will be better come “home game #2”.
Thx for Sharing SF

New hotel and leagues club make the ground look pretty cool I reckon... plus the ampitheatre effect on the crowd noise (also considering Chairmans Club on north-west side) and extra shelter from the southerly... all positive signs for the future.

Watching from afar I thought the same thing. Makes it look like a much bigger stadium.

We shouldn't lose any seating Egg. Will lose some standing area adjacent to the stand (North side) but not much.
