The development is really only reducing beer hill a bit but taking away the hill on the other side which might have fit a few hundred. Dont think it's impacting the capacity too much imo ?

Not like we get those crowds that often anyway.

I'd imagine if they end up getting money for stadium works that will alter the crowd capacity more.

Yeah very rare we hit crowds of even 16k in recent times, and with pretty much no parking anymore sadly it will be even rarer we're hitting decent crowds now.

It was not necessary to have that building encroach onto the stadium footprint.
When you invest this much money into a development you want to maximise all the space to can get.

It won't impact on any seating capacity / views etc and only minor reduction in beer hill area.

Almost looks like the back seats of the Peter Burns will be restricted view. Terrible design.
Some of those were pretty old artist images. Looking at what's there now, hopefully it should be OK:

Was there some plans for some tiered standing areas as well ?

Does anyone know if there will be areas planned for parking?

I thought I had heard from somewhere that they were going underground for this.

Most of the DA documents are here: https://webservice.ssc.nsw.gov.au/ETrack/default.aspx?page=dms&ctr=491785&id=DA18/1448

The parking report from 2019 says....

The non-residential spaces represent a supply of 770 spaces shared between levels 1, 3, 4
and 5 for use by the club staff, club patrons, retail staff, retail customers and residential
visitors. Based on the varying demand of the Town Centre precinct, the following
approximate parking availability will occur for the use by club and business centre
staff/visitors:

• Monday to Sunday 9 am to 5 pm – 209 Club spaces (including 50 for staff)
• Monday to Friday from 5 pm to close of Club Trading – 256 Club spaces (including
50 for staff)
• Saturday and Sunday from 5 pm to close of Club Trading – 439 Club spaces
(including 50 for staff and assuming retail is 50% of peak or less)

On game days, it is proposed to allow retail customers and residential visitors to continue to
access the Town Centre precinct. Retail access on game days will occur only through the
eastern signals, and only to the basement floor. This will facilitate 200 spaces for the retail
customers and residential visitors which are less than normally available, though still a
reasonable provision. Tenants will be notified of game day operations. The remaining 566
spaces would be for retail staff, club staff and club patrons. This operation will be subject to
change following monitoring

Thanks SF.

Membership Packages used to include parking - I wonder if they will be able to include this in future packages when the development is complete?

They’ll be parking at the new development.

Not sure they can go underground?
They can't go underground due to the ground conditions.

There will be parking constructed for the hotel, club and shopping complex - how much will be available to public on game day in not sure.
