Can we find a new right centre?

Have to admit our left centre wasn’t great either.

I only saw the first half and listened to the second on the radio.

Glad that we came back but should have put the game away. Thought we’d taken the field goal too early but I think we could have held out if not for Ramien.

I haven’t seen the incident but by all accounts he did a dumb thing, gifting them the ball.

Lots of improvement needed and hopefully we can improve. Defence was pretty good considering the amount of ball they had. Need to cut out the silly errors.

Onwards to next week against the Eels, another very tough one.

That was a pretty disappointing game but it wasn't our worst game. We made a few disappointing mistakes but the referee was just as bad in the 1st half. I thought we defended relatively well at times especially in the 1st 10 minutes of the match.

One thing we've got to do better though is stop making Hynes run on the 4th & we've got no one else to do decent kicks. Moylan will run just as much as Hynes, let Hynes take the last & Moylan can run. A new era starting so we can't expect big things on our 1st game when therse Canberra guys have been together for years.

Why was the ref bad mate?

It was more the bunker changing some of his decisions than anything else.

He made a few iffy decisions in the 1st half I thought. We hardly had the ball in the 1st half because he made a few "iffy" harsh decisions 1st half I thought.

From memory it was still the bunker. But I don’t think Cummins cost us the game.

Didn't know it was Wighton's 200th lol of course we were destined to lose.

We pretty much lose all those games when it's either a special moment for an opposition player or when a team/player needs to regain their form.

and crusher tackles??? are they allowed these days?
just asking for a mate called craig!!!

the second half is so different from the first with the flow of things. much different
despite the first half where things didn't go our way, once possession was in hand things changed.

I had to watch the second half on delay.

I thought we were shot after the first half but pleasantly surprised by the way we came back.

We've got a good team there, just a bit clunky.

Reckon we'll take it deep into the finals.

I agree mate. We never win the first game anyway.

We’re still not in a premiership window though, we need better centres, a better 6 and another good prop for when Fifs gives it away.

Hopefully Connor Tracey is one of those better centres when he's back from injury. I think Ramien can get there eventually. Needs his brain rewired by some strict scenario training.

Good news is that even though we probably lack a gun prop this year, our depth looked strong tonight. The whole bench looked great. Would prefer a smaller guy to even it out a bit still but the impact is clearly there.

Agree but I don’t think Hunt and Sifa were on for as long as they should have been

Obviously disappointed Sharks could not steal it at the death, after that mountain of work in the 1st half. Most pleasing for me was that is the first game in an eternity, that the Raiders pack did not motor up the middle with 60-70m sets before getting in attacking kicks. Who ever was locking up the middle - kudos. I have watched games recently against the Raiders where it looked like boys versus men (in the forwards) - not last night. Things are on the up.

Feeling bit flat this morning.Big build up and high expectations then we lose like that.....Few bad missed tackles which im sure Fitzy will be filthy with
Ramien still making dumb mistakes. ( was it the knights game last year he did the same thing and we lost in the last minute)
Im sure there is huge improvement to come.Heres hoping it comes quickly..
