Ok, I’ll explain myself better.
I don’t believe we should re sign Moylan.
This is based off what he’s displayed over the course of his 4 yrs with us.
Yes, injuries occur, as paid professional athletes, it’s their job to rehabilitate to ensure they recover, heal & get back on the field to help play their part in having a performing team, club etc.

I dare say, some of if not most of his teammates are actually close friends as well so you could say, getting back on to the field would have an element of to ‘not letting his mates down’

I have been made aware of what Moylan has done, or to be more precise not done when in rehab which for the most part, has been a common thing for him to be in the rehab group for a good part of his Sharks career.

Granted, I’m not aware of his desire or application to treatment of injuries the past few months, who knows, maybe his knuckled down, the point is, he’s off contract so I don’t give him any kudo’s for possibly knuckling down now which is coincidentally as his contract is finishing.

If me, a Neville nobody have info on him like that I’m sure as s#%t the Sharks are well aware of it along with other clubs.

We can only go by media etc. but to not have much interest if at all by other clubs suggests his ways are well known around the NRL, again, I personally have no idea as to what monetary figures he’s been offered or what he accepted but reports were the Sharks offer is low.

My opinion only, but based off the above & more I do know of which I won’t go into, I wouldn’t even offer him min wage, despite acknowledging he’s a talent & can turn games, as much as the NRL is about performance, wins & losses, rehab being professional, being a cog in a big wheel creating culture he’s not worth it or a steal @ any rate.

1 year for Moylan on 300k is a good deal

300k for a bloke that can’t run at full speed or kick anymore, is injured more then he’s healthy and has a terrible training reputation isn’t a good deal.. reckon we paid 100k too much.

Mate, the reality is we have looked a far better team when he is in it. He has played 12/17 games this year, not too bad if we get around 12-15 games out of him for 300k based on the way he has played this year.

Would be interesting to know out winning stats when he is on the field .
I'd imagine quite high

The problem with that is it's very disruptive to the team.

This bloke is laughing. Play 5 games, rest on the sideline for the rest of a season, get paid. Stupid signing.

Good business. Cheap deal, he’ll be hungry to put in and it’s clear we’re better with him in.
Also means we’re probably going some combo of Hynes, Trindall and Moylan and will reevaluate next year. Rather that than get Brooks or Pearce to be honest

Might be a panic signing.
So far we have missed out on signing an experienced half so retaining Moylan might be our only option.

Bloody brilliant if you're Moylan. That'll work out about $30k a game.

Don’t get the big outrage on this signing, very low amount off our salary cap and gives us some depth.

Most depth halves options will cost around 200k. Prefer Moylan at 10-15 games a season then someone like Matt Frawley on half the amount

Some players get paid $150-200k and don’t play any games at all

You really think he'll be depth?
