I love the nostalgic style here but it must be like an old Nokia 3310 vs an iPhone tech wise.

I'm in favour of the switch.

Yeah this is what I noticed. I couldn't see how to do that with the test thread for example.

Just having a look around the proposed new site format and on the 'New Posts' page found that a lot of the lower links were inactive giving the 'Oops! We ran into some problems.' message and the rollover popups were incorrect. I realise that this is a test bed and maybe not all functions are activated but you did ask for feedback.

One other thing I prefer is a non-white background, maybe a pale pastel blue or green.

Same. Just started loading real slow then kicked back into gear. I'd suspect part of a transition process.
