FANS ROUND 20 MAN OF THE MATCH – Wade Graham – 71%

2nd Place – Josh Dugan – 12%

3rd Place – Shaun Johnson – 4%

OVERALL STANDINGS - Sharks.com.au Player of the Year

Chad Townsend 28
Briton Nikora 15
Shaun Johnson 11
Matt Moylan 8
Kurt Capewell 7
Jayden Brailey 6
Braden Hamlin-Uele 6
Josh Morris 6
Josh Dugan 5
Wade Graham 5
Sosaia Feki 5
Bronson Xerri 4
Paul Gallen 3
Andrew Fifita 2
Kyle Flanagan 2
Aaron Woods 1
Jack Williams 1

Johnson starting to make a push for second on their one, if he makes it probably means our team is going well so I hope he does!
Take almost a 3 every week from Nikora and no votes for Chad for him to get beaten. He's 100% lock to win theirs if Nikora doesn't poll at least two this weekend.
Chad was very important to us during a turbulent first half of the year but good to see Johnson making some moves now, as the pricier & flashier half.

Johnson makes a small dent into Chad’s lead. Duges and Graham make a charge up the table and still a chance to snag a podium spot.

For comparison @ Round 21
Players with a GREEN number we think are better than the typically 800+ voters who see the Sharks poll through FB and Instagram (I believe), players in RED we think are worse than they do.
Players both numbers in black were either the same or 1 vote or less different. All numbers are our votes first v their votes.

Biggest thing for me is we obviously value impact of props a lot higher, we have much higher rates on Fifita, BHU & Woods.

They froth over Nikora, Chad and Jayden though (who we have given 26.5 combined votes to their 49)

Remember theirs is scored purely by 1 vote for your best player then they assign the 3-2-1 based off of who gets the most single votes.

idiots on twitter yesterday were slagging dugan off for haunching after getting kicked in the nuts yet voted brailey for a kick in goals that didnt go dead this time

thats why the sharks fans vote has little to no cred at all

I just look at it out of interest not because I feel it is a more fair valuation than our own votes.
In saying that they currently have Dugan on 39%, Wade on 14% and BHU on 12% which is not unreasonable.

People on twitter attacking a flinch from Dugan is no surprise

I reckon next year, there should be votes for +3 +2 +1 and -3 -2 -1

This would give us a better idea as to who has actually been the best and most consistent player

This ones going right down to the wire folks, some more movement in the top half with yet another change to the final spot of the podium with Hamlin-Uele moving up into 3rd. Duges is knocking on the door of the top 5 and Gal picks up another spot. Top spot looks like its down to one of the two halves. But Big BHU is still a slight mathematical chance to pick up the shock win.

Probably a better spread this year. In previous years it was just Fifita or Gallen in front by a length if I recall correctly.

The race is on now! Johnson is now within a game of Townsend. Hamlin-Uele is also creeping up but he will probably have to settle for a podium spot. Dugan has roared back into contention for a podium spot, moving up into 4th.
