If he has limited his ****ups to back then and they don't turn out too bad I'd be happy if the club backed him.

If he's doing things right now that are dodgy or bending the line too much and the club knows it, then he has to go. It is one thing to do stuff a few years ago but be better now, and to actively create new problems that people will deal with years later.

I was absolutely gobsmacked that we extended him for three years last time, then we won our first premiership, so I'm going to temper my opinions a bit this time and just see what happens.

There's alot of satire pieces (intentional and not). if you thought the Telegraph was bias and did poor research/fact checking... it's mainly the opinions of one eyed fans and whatever idea popped into their head over breakfast.
at least the Roarers arn't earning a living from it though and don't pretend to be professional reporters. they also don't have much of an audience with their mugs on tv and voices on the radio like our good friends hoops and buzz. it's mostly harmless

Haven't these guys heard of gmail, hotmail etc. Why use club email accounts? I'll even give them private accounts on my servers. FFS for $30 month they could get a private server.

He will be given a time-frame to lodge an appeal with NRL. I presume his legal representatives would have commenced it and awaiting the final findings and penalty before finalising the grounds and lodging. After holiday period, there is only 2 months before commencement of season so I assume the time-frame will be skinny. One would thus assume between lodgement and determination should not take longer than 4-6 weeks.

It could go all the way to the High Court, I think. But he/us would go broke fighting it.

Personally I think we should get $400K fine (not that we can afford it) and Shane cop a $400K fine. No ban unless he chooses not to pay the fine.

The penalty should be the same for both club and Shane as both played a part. The club was aware they could not also contact Shane.

If you ban Shane that means you would also need to ban the club and that ain't happening.
